Ahh, Carlow - the aristocrates of gaelic football. Brolly (Monaghan) - Posts: 4472 - 30/05/2010 13:33:22 662073 Link 0 |
Handpassing is fine. It a part of the game ya cant kick the ball all the time. The problem is when a team gets 13 men behind the ball and defends the whole game. Its awful to look at. The other team have no choice but to handpass the ball around aimlessly. I've nothing against the ulster lads but it was them who started this negative stuff that is ruining the game. patmcgee (Longford) - Posts: 520 - 30/05/2010 14:53:06 662128 Link 0 |

IN the first week, so called purists of the game Kerry hand-passed the ball about 30 times more than Armagh v Derry game. Fr.Ted.Crilly (Derry) - Posts: 449 - 30/05/2010 17:32:53 662258 Link 0 |
wildrover, surely Ulster has been the most successful province the past 10 years, so its up to the rest to adapt and keep up. survival of the fittest eh spiderpig123 (Down) - Posts: 175 - 30/05/2010 17:33:13 662259 Link 0 |

`funny that for years coaches were trying to get forwards to defend and when it finally happens it's called blanket defence ochonlir (Cavan) - Posts: 4343 - 30/05/2010 18:23:52 662312 Link 0 |
I would imagine that the pace of an Ulster championship game is hard to acustom yourself to if all you are used to is muckball in carlow. maigh_eo (Mayo) - Posts: 1346 - 30/05/2010 18:26:40 662320 Link 0 |

I'd rather get to finals than spend my life wondering what it would be like to be in one. maigh_eo (Mayo) - Posts: 1346 - 31/05/2010 09:52:27 662654 Link 0 |
the poster from Carlow has every right to voice his opinion and it belittles those who are trying to deny him that right ochonlir (Cavan) - Posts: 4343 - 31/05/2010 10:58:10 662713 Link 0 |
Just because you come from a small footballing county doesnt mean you dont know anything about football. So people from carlow and mayo have a right tto voice their opinions too. patmcgee (Longford) - Posts: 520 - 31/05/2010 11:25:26 662763 Link 0 |

Carlow doesn't even sound like an Irish county, it is usually the name of the dopey clown in a circus with the big red nose and curly ginger wig. Does ANYONE know where Carlow is and how to get to it? In a quiz it's always Carlow that people can't get when they are asked to name the 32 counties......which shows how inconsequential and irrelevant the county is. Talking of clowns how is Carlow football this weather? Furthermore it has the funniest most awful kit in Gaelic Games, like someone threw all their colours into a wash with a white shirt..............and out came the Carlow top.
