Have Mayo any chance of Sam?

I agree with your post TheMaster but if Mayo aren't winning Sam and neither are 31 other counties then who is, New York? :P

If Mayo footballers were as good at playing football as some of their fans are at talking **** about how great they are, they would have at least 100 AI's won by now!

Put it this way, as a Tyrone supporter I would NOT like to be playing Mayo in the QF's onwards!

tommy k, is there not one person in galway who talk galway up? This nonsense about mayo fans always talking mayo up is garbage. They do it no more than anyone else, and probably less than dublin and tyrone fans.

Well put Galwayfootball1. The ambush of Tyrone in 2004 was against a team decimated by injury and beleaguered by the loss of Cormac McAnallen. Of Mayo's few successes in Croke Park in recent years by far and way their best performance was against Dublin in the second half in 2006. But then again they were a playing a team even more lacking in steel, savvy and composure than themselves. In both those years their performances against Kerry in the final were pathetic, with both games effectively over in the first 10 minutes. You cannot win anything without bottle, and Mayo have had none for as long as I have been following the game, which is a while now. I don't think they have found this year either, but I would be only too delighted to be proven wrong.

Ahem I was right. Not good enough and bottlers of the highest order. I fully expect Kerry to dispatch Cork, if not tomorrow in the All Ireland at some point.

Kerry I taught Freeman was impressive today in fact maybe mayo's only highlight! So maybe not starting O'Shea and trying Freeman instead was the only positive to come out of this for Mayo.
