Shinners, surely you'd want P.Barden on it, they were calling him the best CHF in the country on another thread earlier on!!!

Galway's Val Daly warrants a mention, one of the best players of his era but unlucky to be at his peak when Galway football was at a low ebb. Others of note who haven't been mentioned: Colin Corkery, Declan Darcy, Derek Duggan, Tony McManus.

In all fairness you could pick 3 or 4 teams, there's been alot of good players who never won an All-Ireland medal.

There is a good arguement for most mentioned. Kevin O'Brien has to be in there.

I'd have said Barden but I thought the thread was about players who no longer play.
I'd have Barden as a sub because in all fairness, there are a lot of players who were a lot better than him through the years

Ludovic_Giuly - I wouldn't put Kevin McCloy in your 15 based on this year's performances. He's been hopeless in both our championship games this year.

Roscommon's Gerry O'Malley is among the greatest of all players with or without All-Irelands, not to mention the top 15 in living memory who have never won an All-Ireland.

Correcto-Jim Mc Guiness was an unused sub in 1992 so he got a winners medal for warming the bench
