He's not even the greatest player from mayo not to win an all ireland. McDonald was twice as good as him.

Better still Pericles, if he marries one of the 2003 ladies team, she might let him barrow hers.

MesAmis, I had heard that he was a committed Gaelgeoir; to the point that he has sworn that until Irish is the country's only language, he will only speak in mono-syllabic unintelligable grunts. Fair play to him. A true Gael; is ni bheidh a leitheid aris ann.

I dont feel sorry for him or for any of the mayo players over the last ten years, come on when they got to all ireland finals they blew it. i dont beleive for a second that in the all ireland final 04 and 06 that the mayo players did their best, they let themselves down and it would seem that all these lost finals are not teaching anything. ill be happy if the beat sligo cos sligo are alot better than ye think although last year they had a great ability to throw away matches when they were about to win them (galway and kerry), i reckon they have got that out of their system!

I really hope this guy isnt going to be remembered as "the greatest player never to win an all ireland"

The peroxide wonder isn't even the greatest player in his own family who has never won Sam.

in fairness kenneth was a much better player.

one thing i will say about conor is fair play to him - he goes out and does his own thing and cuddnt give a toss what other people think. poeple who pick on his appearance really are sad and boring. imagine if we were all the same. life would be quite boring and id imagine there wuddnt be half as many feuds in here either.

David Heaney, David Brady, James Nallen, Kevin Cahill, Liam McHale and Kevin O'Neill are but a few names i would mention as players who deserve an all-ireland and were great players. Mort is good but by no means the greatest

Mortimer doesnt come close to that title..................not yet anyways. He seems to have matured a lot since he came back from his travels which is what all mayo supporters wanted to see because we know he has and always had the ability and potential to become one of the best forwards in the country. He can become ONE of the best forwards in the country in time but he will never be " one of the unluckiest players not to win an all-ireland" because realistically folks, and this comin from a mayo supporter, have we ever looked like a team that could win an all ireland?? even when we got to the finals in 04 and 06 we were completly out of our depth and so for the last 13/14 years no one could say we had a team that played well over a long period of time that would have deserved an all ireland ( im thinking bout the current cork panel and how they are viewed). So taking all that into account, plus in fairness he hasnt "being carrying us" as suggested then conor mortimor is far away from the title the original poster has bestowed on him. The one positive i have is that I believe he can change that in the next couple of years.
