Galway forwards were on top scoring form this evening, fully deserved win. Cork have a good bit to work on, but they should be there abouts. I taught Faragher was class

Very impressed with Galway today. Farragher was excellent in the middle (maybe he'll finally deliver on his potential) along with Burke. I thought the two wing forwards (Smith&Harte) hurled well also. Most impressive however, in my opinion, was the defence, Tony Óg in particular standing out.

Well done galway hopefully they havn't done what a few teams have done in the last few years and peak too soon.... It wouldn't be much of a surprise at this stage if they won leinster but still think kilkenny will peak at the right time and win the 5 in a row. Hopefully I'm woring.... Saying that tipp are well off their best at this stage so hopefully they can pull it together.

This is a very good Galway team, I hope it's them vs Kilkenny in the Leinster final. After last year's classic most neutral would love another high octane KK Vs Galway match.

Well done to Galway and Cork for producing a magnificant game - the first half in particular. I think Cork have every chance off winning Munster this year - the winner of Tipp v Cork will go far. I hope its a Galway v KK leinster final (it should be) - that will be a cracker. But as someone already pointed out - Galway might catch them in that game but KK will probably peak at the right time an take the 5 in a row (probably v Galway in the final!). Gaillimh abu!

An excellent win and performance by Galway, but some of us are old enough to remember that it is 22 years since Galway last won an All Ireland so we have no intention of getting carried away by this victory. However there are a lot of promising signs in that the players look extremely fit and focused, and credit has to be given to Mc Intyre for this, as well as the fact that they look like quite a contented squad from the outside. Hopefully Galway are still capable of raising their game even more when it comes to the white heat of the Championship, as good and all as the performance was last Sunday, it would still not be good enough to win the All Ireland.

Brilliant. Great progress this year. I think there is also a leinster title to be had. An outside chance of an AI, but I expect Tipp are preparing to peak later in the year and with last years experience feel they are the team to beat.

Its the league. I wouldn't be too excited. Last piece of silverware won by Galway was the Galway Plate.

ondabutton - I'm tempted to be sarcastic but as it's the morning after a bank holiday weekend, I'll make allowances.

Have another old go at reading my post again before you inaccurately describe it as 'sour grapes' . It might just be that you were a little too quick off the mark as I think you'll find that it's anything but.

Another cup of coffee is required me thinks.....
