It is fact than Hurling is more skillfull than Football, as someone that plays both i find football awfull boring to watch, its also a fact that very few counties can play Hurling at a high level but compare that to football???.
I have never needed to work on football skills but Hurling on the other hand is a different story.
Also in alot of Traditional Hurling counties , no matter how bad the Hurling team does they still will have more supporters at each match than the footballers will even if they win a national title.
Pick Limerick for example there is over 70 clubs, Massive majority are Hurling but most have a football team, even clubs that had success in Hurling for years are now getting succces in football. My point is football is alot easier to play and you can teach it to a kid easily enough but if you dont get kids early in Hurling it very difficult to learn the skills.

634964 All the threads comparing hurling and football are stupid. Football is a game (and a very good game when compared to soccer, rugby etc). Hurling is a way of life.

Nothing at all snobby about that statement.

Getting totally destroyed? Hurling fans are saying Hurling's better, you hardly expect them to agree with my assessment do you. The general argument seems to be 'Hurling is more skillful than football because I think it is', not exactly destroying me now is it. People have voted with their feet, Gaelic football is on a different level to Hurling and the chasm between the two sports will only grow. Hurling RIP

re: PomeroyPlunkett

I see that you can type english but I'm not sure how well you interpreate it because anyone with a basic comprehension of english can see that you have not a leg to stand on in this arguement.... any "arguement" you have made has been picked to pieces quite easily.... I know your trying to keep a bit of credibility as a wum but lad give it up!!

'Hurling is more skillful than football because I think it is' the facts have been brought in to disprove this were your argue seems to be "Hurling is a less skillful game because I don't like it" dose that just about sum it up from your angle.
