I am doing a project on our wonderful game, and i need to list all the skills of hurling. Any one have the list of them or do they indeed know the skills themselves? It would be greatly apprieciated. Thanks GreenGlens10 (Antrim) - Posts: 64 - 29/04/2010 11:44:10 633230 Link 0 |

1. An ability to hit the sliotar as hard as you can (when going for goal you don't even need to aim for the corners or anything, just hit the sliotar low and hard) pplocal (Tyrone) - Posts: 5878 - 29/04/2010 12:57:40 633348 Link 0 |
Pomroy, you've set my mind at ease. There I was thinking that I'd been a crap hurler, when I'd actually mastered all the major skills quite comprehensively! Culchie (Cork) - Posts: 799 - 29/04/2010 13:23:08 633378 Link 0 |

Oh so that's why we beat Wexford with consumate ease without getting out of second gear, we fouled our way to victory. Like I said I felt embarassed for Wexford that day. However you should be eternally grateful you got to see your county play one of the greatest GAA teams of all time pplocal (Tyrone) - Posts: 5878 - 29/04/2010 14:13:12 633497 Link 0 |

Wexford have been playing THE GREATEST GAA TEAM of all time over the last 4 years in the Leinster Hurling championship. Puddersthecat (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1692 - 29/04/2010 14:29:59 633542 Link 0 |
I think I highlighted skills other than the ability to foul opponents in that post Pomeroy (although Tyrone are extremely adept at those skills). nocky (Wexford) - Posts: 2059 - 29/04/2010 14:35:26 633558 Link 0 |

Please quit calling for me to be banned, I'm giving my opinions on Hurling and I welcome people challenging my viewpoint with coherent counter-arguments. To be honest calling for me to be banned merely shows that you are unable to do this and have, in effect, lost the argument pplocal (Tyrone) - Posts: 5878 - 29/04/2010 14:57:25 633618 Link 0 |
I accept that it was in retaliation, and understand that PP is wumming, but Nocky's post is much worse than PP's and I think it proves how precious some hurling fans are. There really is no call for saying that about Tyrone, never mind the game of Gaelic Football. Breffni40 (Cavan) - Posts: 12310 - 29/04/2010 15:02:37 633626 Link 0 |
