Sean Og says Pay for Play

dammon, Donaghy said the same thing, so why not start a thread about Kerry insulting the game. Also I have no doubt there are plenty of inter-county players within your own County who hold similar views but have not come out with them. There are precious few Inter-County players throughout the entire Country who would refuse the money if it were on offer

I am not in any way trying trying to slag or knock Cork people. This thread was set up in relation to a Cork Player and there was a thread on the forum about Cork people insulting the game ( which I think is pure rubbish as I have come across many Cork fans and they are the friendliest bunch of ladsyou could meet) so I just used the fact that there was a thread about the fans insulting the game and mentioned that Seán Óg was insulting the game. My opinions would be the same on any county player. I apologise if I caused you any offense and assure you it was not intended

kieran donaghy in the paper yesterday calling for pay-for-play as well. Mmmmm how interesting that players have started to express this opinion as soon as the GPA have got their foot in the door

if he finds that commitment is to much..... let him retire. the GAA is played by players for the honour and pride not for financial gain. end of story. they get soft jobs, gear, expanses, trips abroad etc. that is enough for them. if they dont like it, some other player will jump at the opportunity of representing their county. such an irritating topic.

I dont see wat the argument is about, the gaa doesnt have the money to pay the players. each county board is losing hundred of thousands each year already on the preparation of the county panels.

The GPA are always shouting for money (Greedy Players Association) . If we go down this road it will destroy our sport. Look at what happened to soccer in Ireland when players went pro its a mess now and a new club every year going bust.
