Off course M.nugent are underdogs - there is 18 league positions between M.Nugent and Drung - i dont think any of the players will be getting carried away or at least they shouldn't. So its up to M.nugent to prove everyone wrong.

I'm hoping for a good game of football in any event - something of the standard of yesterdays game would be fine!!!! Not asking for much am I? I'd say it'd take a brave man to back M.nugent...

re: kingspan

The quality of football has little got to do with m.nugent, they went out and beat wat was put in front of them in some style, as I'm sure drung wud have done if they had drawn t.port. I'm sure they wud of relished a greater test as they wud of learned little thru hammering t.port by 15pts... I believe m.nugent have beaten the best about to reach this years final, finalists and semi finalists from the previous 3yrs. Granted it wud take a brave man to back them as drung do look very strong, and wud be more suited in an intermediate final or semi than junior, however, theres still 10 players on that m.nugent team from the 2003 final when beaten by lavey who will not want to experience that losing feeling again, 4 players with all ireland medals plus county experience at various levels. It may prove on the day that drung have that bit much for m.nugent, it wont be as one sided as league positions may suggest I believe!!!

Milhouse im sorry if my post sounded bitter i honestly did'nt mean it to. Ive played against both teams a good few times over the years and know some of the drung lads well and always left the field on good terms with any player i played against on either team.

Did D Sheridan and R Kearney no start in the 2003 final for M/Nugent? Plus T Brady played most of it, C Adams, R Caffrey and Both Garrys played on that day at some stage. thats around 10 with county Final experience, so could stand to them.

Plenty of the Drung players have experience of playing in finals aswell. There is probably only 3 that haven't so i don't think it will be and advantage to either team. Although the thoughs of losing a few previous finals may make Drung nervous at the start.

Wifoy:

U must of only been a buck of a gosan in 2003 wifoy,or else your memory is goin!!! I can easily count 10 m.nugent players from the current panel that have county final experience!! U named three plus s.smith, r.caffrey, t.brady, d.sheridan, c.garry, ado.garry, c.adams... Thats just off hand and theres plenty more involved with the team at the moment who were on the panel that day and know wats its like to lose. I'm not saying its a bad thing, its great to have that experience on a team.

"Sure"-- What are you on about?? Templeport and Killdallon reached the quarters and the Semi's this year why would they not hope to build on it next year?

As far as Kildallan are concerned none of their players have yet asked for a transfer. Word is they do need a new manager as the last one got fed up of too little committment and too much abuse from the "superstars" on the team. Alot of talent wasted and too much drinking around Ballyconnell. Shame there is some fabulous talent down there wasted.

Spuds & Gravy you would want 2 get a grip if your writing in giving out about an article that was wrote about a primary schools game!!!! and also we might be in a junior final but id say thats 1 more final that your team aren't in!!!!!

Re Spuds and Gravy. What are you on about or what comment do you feel you are replying too. Im on mtnugent team and will enjoy the build up to the final as much as the next person and we are well entitled too. Like all other anonomous posters nobody knows who you are but iv a feeling your club is no longer in the championship. It may only be a junior final for a small country club but it means a lot to us as im sure it will to Drung also. PS If you believe what you sayso much put your real name beside the message and not your dinner.
