Would like to see the Munchies beat Drung to keep the Advert alive but i can't really see it happening. If they are to win they need to score goals tha has always been the case with them. If James Reilly is in nets this might be easier said than done. McNulty (Cavan) - Posts: 47 - 27/08/2008 12:05:52 86196 Link 0 |
Brilliant, I've never heard of a 'clever knife' before. Must get me one. It could make my sandwiches in the morning while I'm shaving Con Cavan (Cavan) - Posts: 894 - 27/08/2008 12:06:54 86201 Link 0 |

re. stargazer 73 .A couple of bold predictions there, Drung, Shercock to be beaten that would really open up the junior championship but i dont expect them both to be beaten, Shercock may be prone to meltdowns but i dont see it happening against arva despite their recent improvement. I cant see any way the munchies can beat Drung who should have too much quality. I think it is very had to predict the other 2 quarters but i would have a slight fancy for kildallon to beat templeport (who remember are lucky not be playing division 4 football) and mountnugent to just shade it over shannon gaels. paddyreilly (Cavan) - Posts: 22 - 27/08/2008 13:02:58 86280 Link 0 |

In stitches at your depiction of the "clever knife" raging denn, but I think you should drop both sharp and clever because clearly JC (Junior Cert perhaps) is just a tool!! Big Iano (Cavan) - Posts: 188 - 27/08/2008 17:04:38 86763 Link 0 |

Great - at last some real discussion rather than the usual b***hing that normally goes on here. Even if all of you rubbished my predictions!!! Must say mine were influenced by what I'd like to see happening and if neither Drung or Shercock were in the Semi's the champoinship ud be wide open by Sunday week stargazer73 (Cavan) - Posts: 14 - 28/08/2008 10:13:06 87113 Link 0 |
regarding sat evenings match between shercock and arva,,,,does anyone give arva a chance,,,,,as i remember last year everyone was talking bout shercock but arva beat them by a few points in breffni,,,,was it a fluke? pop (None) - Posts: 1 - 28/08/2008 14:58:33 87573 Link 0 |
Agree with you there again larry, duignan and reilly are 2 class acts but if that young wing half forward is playin that came on the last time against kildallon could be a different story seems to put points over for fun. also if i also remember from that same match ronan reily didn't do to much damage when that young dolan boy was on him. Think that game will be one of the tightest in the champ, neighbouring clubs alot of history between the two. wingman (Cavan) - Posts: 17 - 28/08/2008 21:10:25 87953 Link 0 |
i believe the port v kildallan game will be the game of the round. does anyone know the story behind the 2 brothers playing on opposite teams. whats that about and i'm sure that adds to the tension between these 2 clubs madmax11 (Cavan) - Posts: 9 - 29/08/2008 20:14:52 88788 Link 0 |
Just after comin from the Shercock Arva match. Shercock won by 3 points. They were about 7 ahead at one stage and missed a few goals. The played some nice football and look like a team that can play it both long nd short. yobo (Cavan) - Posts: 18 - 30/08/2008 22:16:29 89060 Link 0 |

Was at the Munchie V Drung game. No contest apart from the first 10 minutes. Drung totally dominated the game. Drung defence was excellent. Shut out Munchies so called danger men. Munchies should have played their own game, instead the were trying all evening to double team watters and rough him up. In the mean time mCEntee, Galligan and reilly were tearing them apart. They one by 8. It could have been more. Drung look strong and it will take a good team to beat them. they are very mobile and fit. blackhawk (Cavan) - Posts: 14 - 01/09/2008 09:06:48 89358 Link 0 |
Yeah, Was at the Drung Game. Drung were playing at a different level than the munchies - never looked like they were going to be in any trouble. Led 7 to 3 at half time and were cruising. held out for an easy win. Really do look good for the championship now. Well i really got those two predictions wrong!!!! anyway I'll stick with my predictions for the other two Quarters. But It looks like a Drung Shercock final if they avoid each other in the Semis stargazer73 (Cavan) - Posts: 14 - 01/09/2008 10:20:58 89407 Link 0 |
drung and shercock seem to be way ahead of the remaining teams in jfc, has the draw for semi's been made yet? cavan4ever (Cavan) - Posts: 234 - 01/09/2008 10:59:41 89444 Link 0 |
Tipped into Laveys Pitch to view the Drung V Munchie match, Drung were by far the stronger and better team excellent mid field, but as a neutral I felt that Drung were very lucky with the referring decisions and the blinkered vision of the lines men and umpires. antomeath (Meath) - Posts: 56 - 01/09/2008 12:17:34 89540 Link 0 |
