I think there will be very little between the teams in the junior championship and some of the teams near the bottom of the league table could cause surprises.

Templeport v Cornafean - Can see only one out come in this game, cornafean might fancy there chances with been a good championship team in the past, but not this time there a very poor team this year, also depends if kieran mc turns up, tport by 6

Arva v Corlough - Depends what kind of a team corlough will produce, if brendan mc govern is marked maybe, but corlough should pul through on frees and determination, corlough by 3

Butlersbridge v Drung - Battle of the round, ciaran galligan v lorcan mulvey will be a key feature, but drung have division 2 football in there system all year, will be close but drung to sneak it, drung by 2

Mountnugent v Shercock - Shercock should be to strong, but mnugnt cud suprise everyone, great win the last day against tport, shercock to win by 6

Shannon Gaels v Maghera - Easy win for the gaels Eamon reilly, fee and mc hugh to hot to handle for maghera defence, gaels by 8

Munterconnacht v Kildallon - Another battle, powerade will be a big factor here (not) i hear killdallan will have duignan back for championship and stephen wynne, depends if reilly is marked in the full forward line also, kildallan by 5

Why would you guess Templeport?

Re: Duignan for Killdallen. I hear he's back training?? If he's training now im sure he'll be getting his place in a few weeks. Very talented player, With him and Reilly Killdallen could prove formidable..

Drung having played intermediate football all year surely stand as favourites.. I think if Templeport have Ciaran Heery back from injury by then they could do well. Somehow i think the Bridge will win it though, provided they get over the first hurdle.

Shercock are the annual fav's but they dont seem to be going as well this year, maybe they are going to concentrate on jfc. I think Drung should be head and shoulders above anybody else, this is the team who contested a number of IFC finals a few years back, they have a couple of big name players and have been playing football in div 2 for a long time, will be a good game with Bridge, id say bridge will come through back door and maybe get to semi or final.
Kildallan will be there abouts, if they have full squad for champ then i can see them peaking in late summer.
PERDICTION Drung to beat Kildallan in final

Lads. ya can't over look last years beaten Finalists although the Geals aren't playing as good a football as they were this time last year they could do alot in the month and a win over Maghera could set them on there way again.

Kildallon were well beaten at the weekend with what looked an under strength bench and Stan pulled his Hamstring and will be a big loss if he's not able to play, Took some great scores one in particular against Swad.

A big Question is can Cornafean turn there season around they are usually a good Championship team but only winning 1 out of 10 league games can't be good for a teams confidence.

The game to watch could be the Corlough v Arva, I think they have draw 4 out of they're last 7 games but don't quote me on that and Arva beat Corlough by a point at the weekend. They were missing 7 thou.

Thats a great price for the Bridge!! Templeport at 6/1 not a bad bet either. So anyone know what the Munchies are really made of?? Will the pressure drive them to success or make them fall at the first?? Killdallon usually can beat anyone in the first two rounds and then make a mess of the quarters..

Shercock always look good until they get to Breffni - as soon as they pass Tractamotors the nerves go I reckon.

Would I be right in saying that Shercock have beaten the eventual champions in the first round for the last two years in a row? Saw them against Drumgoon a couple of weeks ago and they were very impressive... Goonies were blessed to beat them with a lucky goal 3 minutes from the end when it was a drawn game

I hear Kildallan are camera shy, no Powerade cameras V Munchies

At Last the JFC is upon us:

Templeport v Cornafean - Depends on the templeport team that turns up, bit of a help playing in their next door club pitch in ballyconnell, cornafean should be back to full strenght and will die for the cause in this game. Templeport to scrap it by 1.

Arva v Corlough - Always very close games, again playing in the pitch down the road from them will be an advantage for corlough, they are flying fit and should win by 3.

Butlersbridge v Drung - Drung should win this one on their march to the JFC title, even if L Mulvey is playing he'll be more than matched by galligan, if its a dry day b'bridge will run them close, drung by 2.

Mountnugent v Shercock - Shercock have been keeping quiet this year and thats bad news for the other teams in jfc, will have far too much power and skill for mountnugent, shercock by 8.

Shannon Gaels v Maghera - Maghera season is going from bad to worse, trashed by corlough in their last match, if its a dry day expect gaels to win by 10 or more.

Munterconnacht v Kildallan - Muchies limited in the players at their disposal, v good players up the middle but weak otherwise, they wont be able to hold the kildallan forwards, killdallan by 5.
