Padraic Joyce continues on

This the same Padraig Joyce that went up to Healy park against Tyrone in the league last year, ran the show and basically embarresed Tyrone in thier own patch?

Poor wind up Pomery, at least some of your other ones were kind of well thought out or funny

Not content with WUMing on all things hurling, Pomeroy has decided to have a go at football. Pretty poor attempt, it has to be said. Do you ever get bored?

I don't particulary care about the League, the Championship is where it matters and Joyce has been invisible in this in years. One of the main reasons why Galway have done absolutely nothing outside of Connacht in recent years.

Have to agree with plunkett on this one, it is time for joyce to hang up those boots, he should have gone 3 or 4 years ago. So he beat mayo on his own in 08 , who hasn't. Mayo shouldn't worry about galway if he is still playing. I dont agree hes overated though. Its time for the young lads to play.

PJ loves football and loves playing for his county and realises he'll be retired long enough so if he wants to play let him play. If he's not up to it Kernan won't start him in games but he can still contribute from the bench. Granted he doesn't have the legs of old but the brain still works as quick as ever.

As for being the most overrated player of the past 40 years. Nonsense like that doesn't even warrant an answer. PJ's achievements stand for themselves. One of the finest footballers I've seen in modern times who nearly always produced in the big games.

Pomeroy: are you one of these posters who seems to think everything in their own county is outstanding and everything outside is rubbish? Cos you seem to be slagging off anything that isn't related to Tyrone.

look the man is still quality and he would not be on the panel if he wasnt good enough. Image training with the guy, having him around is good for the team

Pomeroy, in your efforts to wind people up, all you succeed in doing is making people think you havent a clue about football. I would confidently say that there is not one person in Ireland who thinks PJ was an overrated player, including yourself. You really do put up some garbage on this site.

Question for the Joyce fans. If he still has it and can contribute why have Galway not won a match outside Connacht since 2004? That was when they beat the mighty Louth. Honestly 5 years without beating a non-Connacht team, can't believe how far Galway have fallen. Time for new blood me thinks

How many times pre 2003 did we beat a team from outside Ulster in the championship?

So what you are essentially saying Pomeroy is that Galway's success or failure depends entirely on one player, Paraic Joyce.
