Any opinions on the Meath legends new football role. Our Forwards need a miracle if the league is anything to go by. Hanley2 (Longford) - Posts: 420 - 27/04/2010 14:57:50 631088 Link 0 |
Geraghty is one of my favourite all time players, maybe not the most skilful but he brought many more things to the table. If the Longford men learn from his approach they will give 100% in every game, never pull out of a tackle and negate the opposition's skill advantage by being in their faces for 70 minutes. caughtredhanded (Tyrone) - Posts: 602 - 27/04/2010 15:46:01 631187 Link 0 |
His experience, especially against Louth, will probably stand to the Longford forwards on the 23rd of May. Royal_Girl2k9 (Meath) - Posts: 2107 - 27/04/2010 15:57:06 631210 Link 0 |

one of my favorite players of all time would have loved if he was a Dub. I think his experience can only be a help anyway dubshurling7 (Dublin) - Posts: 1017 - 27/04/2010 17:56:09 631454 Link 0 |
Can only be good for Longford, his experience and know how should be of great benefit. Richieq (Meath) - Posts: 3748 - 27/04/2010 20:12:12 631635 Link 0 |
Ha ha. That's some meeting of intellectuals up in Longford between himself and Glen Ryan! 2 legends but neither of them are going to be the next Micky Harte. Daith (Kildare) - Posts: 1172 - 27/04/2010 20:47:36 631687 Link 0 |

Why not? Would seem as good a choice as any at the moment. His experience will surely bring something to the Longford Footballers. Tongo (UK) - Posts: 1795 - 28/04/2010 08:07:59 631821 Link 0 |
Best of luck to Graham and to Longford. He may not be everybodys cup of tea but nobody can question his commitment Maradonna (Meath) - Posts: 128 - 28/04/2010 09:50:35 631890 Link 0 |
Hopefully this combination will prove to be sucessful, did he ever coach clubwise in meath? I know he played with Clann Na Ngael, wasnt there a club he played with before them, or am i wrong? open to correction on this. rossielassie (Roscommon) - Posts: 672 - 28/04/2010 10:37:46 631932 Link 0 |

A fantastic player, surprised somebody said he wasnt the most skillful. He was one of the most skillful players of his generation. Some of the points he scored against dublin down the years were nothing short of sensational. bad.monkey (USA) - Posts: 4649 - 28/04/2010 13:23:46 632205 Link 0 |

Padre Pio would have been some player if the chronic hand & foot injuries hadn't shortened his career. Coylers Elbow (Meath) - Posts: 1075 - 28/04/2010 17:25:04 632640 Link 0 |

To be fair fredrickwood, Roscommon need Padre pio, Longford need Jesus and the 12 apostles to make any sort of impact on the championship. patmcgee (Longford) - Posts: 520 - 28/04/2010 18:28:59 632754 Link 0 |
