Not twisting anything, I largely agree with the above statement with regard to the motives and consequences of the motives of British (Anglocentric?) Imperialism!!


....But the Nazi hierarchy was pure evil, I don't think the Brits (and many Irish people involved) were.

i agree with you to an extent. the british empire at the start was pure evil too. but to be fair, at the time when the nazi's were about, they were just pure ignorant towards the situation in ireland and other countrys they were colonising, which at the end of the day resulted in many innocent lives.

they starved and murdered and plundered nations , left right and centre.
if someone from ireland decides 2 join the british army , then that is up 2 them . its their decision , nothing said on here is going 2 make a diffrent.
do i think they betrayed their own people , YES, but that is just my ipinion , on the person joining the brits well as i say its their decision and no one elses.
nothing or any statement of anger is going 2 make a blind bit of difference.
