Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dhilis

"Remember the man who served his almighty Creator, his country, his community, and most of all, his family. He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much; who has enjoyed the trust of pure women, the respect of intelligent men, and the love of little children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who has left the world better than he found it, whether an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul; who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had; whose life was an inspiration; whose memory a benediction."

Philib Mag Aonghusa, Laochra Gael, our thoughts are with your family and friends.

Yes put the whole thing in to perspective - to think that somebody so young should lose his life playing a game of football - God be good to him and bless him, his familyand friends. RIP.

Absolutely devestated. Unbelievable how events can unfold. The collision could have happened every day for the next twenty years and nothing would have happened. Feel so sorry for Mohill GAA who have lost a gem of a lad and a great gaelic footballer. To his mother, Brothers Michael and John words can't describe the loss you have suffered. Also to the Melvin Gaels footballer, who is a very very genuine level headed lad who I've never seen on my days playing with him commit a foul stroke on any member. An awful tragedy. RIP Philly
