I don't know brend, maybe there has been a major political upheaval in the last few hours that I don't know about. Dell could be right.

This has me thinking though. Why don't we use this current situation in the North to our advantage. Surely there must be someway of syphoning as much wealth from the British economy into the Republic via the North. There must be some way of doing it, maybe those of you with a better business sense could think of how it might be possible. Let them keep NI so that they are building infrastructure on Irish soil with their money and at the same time send as much money south as possible. A great act of grand larceny. There must be someone in Fianna Fail who could do it.

I would like to state that I live close to the border with Louth Village and I would like to say that things are starting to get bad again and I don't want that as I am old enough to remember the troubles on the border between Tallanstown and Louth Village. I believe that the the comments made by Joseff are causing friction and I was challenged by a Louth man yesterday and he told me that Louth Village don't want Tallanstown people drinking in Louth

YOUNG PEOPLE OF IRELAND I LOVE YOU

Wonderful post and wonderful idea. Yea lets join up with the Brits and we can start attacking some unfortunate people in Iraq or Afghanistan or maybe Argentina or wherever else the mighty Empire has left its bloody footprint.

Madasbutter,

Obviously you believe that only those working in the Private Sector should be paid a decent wage and that people on the minimum wage are getting too much !! Of which financial institution are you a director ?

Wrong Slasher
I'm actually a dispute resolution consultant - I earn a fortune from advising unions - hence my vested interest in the above !
Used to work for MABS but could never make it into work for the last three to four days of the month - Used never have enough money left for the bus fare in
and there was no way I was giving up on my 40 Rothmans a day.
