Gaelic Games to the rescue of Soccer once again...

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

First we save the FAI's & IRFU's blushes by opening up Croke Park to the Irish Soccer and Rugby supporters... and now the number one GAA website in the country comes to the rescue of our soccer cousins once again and welcomes a soccer forum into the fold!

Jeeze we're brilliant arent we!

you wont have any bother from me...

It's the other 10% that will cause the possible trouble! Just giving you the heads up...It's only a matter of time before someone goes on the wind up!

Just drawing your attention to something jimbo :)

any soccer forums I have visited over the years have vicious threads on them about their hatred of the GAA. Guys who are soccer fans first and foremost usually have a negative view of the GAA, I have encountered this numerous times. On the other hand I find that GAA & rugby supporters generally have respect for soccer and those who support it. Putting up a soccer forum shows maturity from the hoganstand admin

Maturity???

Hoganstand is run by Lynn Publications, a commercial enterprise. They're not a GAA club, they're a publishing company that happens to have a GAA magazine as one of their popular publications. It just so happens that they're using the same web domain to host both a soccer and a GAA message board. If they had a related discussion board on ballet dancing or anything else, they'd co-host it on here if it made commercial sense.

I do wonder about some of the people on here sometimes

Apart from yourself and a few others, why would one waste any more space than a line or two ( i am confined to typing with my left elbow by the way), especially as admin may block it because of something innocuous such as a placename they're not aware of. Somebody put up a whole half page of their party's manifesto recently, but are very slow to come back with anything resembling an answer to Questions. I would be the first to acknowledge that most my posts are waffle but at least i know it. I have seen some fine posts containing several good points that end up on the lines of whether mick o Connell or micky Harte has the nicest feet or what did Beano Mc Donald do for Irish Freedom
