Is a moto not some type of mobile phone thing or something. I thought the Fianna motto was "cac yourself when you get into a final", but there you go!! omaghredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 3656 - 07/10/2010 16:02:21 792011 Link 0 |
I think the current league format needs changing rapidly, there's too many teams in Division 1 and therefore leading to a huge gap between the good teams and the poorer teams. It comes this stage of the season there's too many teams with nothing left to play for. I think we need to go back to the league format of a Division 1A and 1B of 12 teams each, playing each other twice (once with county player, once without) and all 24 playing the championship. This should help to make for more a competitive league. stringbean (Tyrone) - Posts: 134 - 07/10/2010 19:33:16 792189 Link 0 |
Aghyaran v Dromore-Aghyaran omaghredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 3656 - 10/10/2010 19:57:24 793802 Link 0 |
With the county final now put back for a week as a result of the Omagh appeal to the DRA (which I beleive was justified, if not a little expensive) and this weekends replay is there any indication of when these league fixtures will actually be played? There is the replay at the weekend, the following weekend is the county final and would I be right in saying that the first round of the Ulster club against the Roslea Shamrocks is the following weeekend? There are also minor fixtures involving Omagh to factor into the equation as well so it could be well into November before the league is wrapped up for the season. mugsys_barber (Tyrone) - Posts: 2160 - 11/10/2010 09:47:25 793936 Link 0 |

I think credit should be given to kildress today - played a good game against omagh considering the news that got to the dressing room just before throw in!! alot of teams tend to get thrown points but at least if the tones go down they can go down with dignity!!!! its a disgrace how trillick, Donaghmore and greencastle had to beg for points to avoid relegation clintonscigar (Tyrone) - Posts: 166 - 01/11/2010 09:22:20 806944 Link 0 |

Trillick got points of greencastle and carrickmore as greencastle had already a deal done with killyclogher for the 2 points on the final day of the season. Aghyaran got a point of dromore. kildress and galbally were the only 2 teams not to beg for points. and yes the word is beg. imagine ringing other clubs for points. them 4 teams should be ashamed of themselves. tyrone gaa is in a bad state of affairs when this is happenning. clintonscigar (Tyrone) - Posts: 166 - 08/11/2010 11:15:55 811774 Link 0 |
kildress begged for points of omagh but omagh wouldn give them the poins!!!! SIDEshowBOB (Tyrone) - Posts: 167 - 08/11/2010 11:24:37 811786 Link 0 |
Nothing new there. We had to let Kildress win a few years ago to let them get promoted. In an amateur sport it's always going to be the way pplocal (Tyrone) - Posts: 5878 - 08/11/2010 11:33:55 811792 Link 0 |

not a mention of the fianna beating dromore at the weekend? strange that one if coialisland had been beat the doubters would be out in force considering the fianna only put out half a team it was still a good win for the blues a few Dromore men up to their old tricks after the final whistle as well. barnicles (Tyrone) - Posts: 102 - 08/11/2010 15:26:28 812038 Link 0 |
