Tyrone ACL Division One Predictions

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

May be foolish but i think there could be a slight chance of Moy turning over Dromore. There was no point in me taking the risk in the predictions because nobody gives Moy a prayer and i may as well follow the popular opinion. Starred games hit Moy hard we all know the quality of their county men. However Dromore have a lot of county men and i know they have other quality that Moy dont have but I have heard Dromore are seriously suffering from injuries can anyone confirm this?

Mugsy i see ur prediction Moy brave call lad if it comes off fair play 2 you, Moy are often critisied as being a poor div 2 team without county men, i just think that while they may have a chance its a massive risk you may know more about Dromores injuries than I do. Can you let me know your reasons for this pick.

Cheers

Dromore will probably only be fielding 3/4 of last years starting championship winning team. With the amount of injuries and county men away this could potentially be an opportunity for Moy to get two points and let the rest of the county know that they're not just dependant on the Cavanagh's, Jordan and Mellon. It is a big gamble but then again so is tipping Galbally to beat Trillick at home.

Not knocking you mugsy I have a feeling Moy could cause an upset but thought the gamble was 2 much if you get this one right fair play to ya just finding it hard to see what Moy can offer without the absence of the players you mentioned

i'm not trying to be smart but without the county players the moy would struggle in division 2 if not be a junior side! dromore could put their minor team and that'd beat them!

From what I saw of the Moy last week, no one else touched her only the county men. Apparently there reserves are poor so its hard to see where the replacements will come from

moy have other good players bar the county men. i think these comments are a harsh judgement of the team and some of the young players coming through.

Carmenabu just wondered how you thought the Moy county men performed? Im hearing great things about Colm Cav this season. How did he do? Who did he mark and is he the answer for tyrone at midfield??

DiscoStu.. very harsh on the moy!! they are a strong but if you take four key player out of any team.. they would also struggle. dont you think?

Well said KCurrie, which is exactly the point I'm making about Dromore who will be missing at least 12 men from last years championship winning team against Moy. And the best of it is Peter Ward isn't even in that list of 12 non available players which basically leaves McCusker and Fabian O'Neill and a heap of reserves. It will show Dromore's strength in depth if they get the two points.

Colm Cavanagh had a super game aginst Carmen although in the 2nd half he was up against a green and physically weaker 19 year old. But him and Sean really destroyed Carmen. Still if Carmen had Gormley, McGurk and even 1 or 2 others of the injured players back i would say they would take them handy. People seem to be forgetting this when they write the lads off. I hear the changing rooms are awash with quotes from papers, website etc about the demise!
