Looking for cover in the full back line - look no further then Darragh Mc Evoy (celbridge). He is back playing after being out injured for 8 months. He was playing wing back against Clane ( a game Clane should have won) and was having a blinder. Danny Egan ( Kildare u-21) caused a lot damage to the Celbridge full back and at half time Celbridge put Mc Evoy on him and he literaly did not get a kick of the ball in play (scored some lovely frees). Tom O Connor (Clane) played well that night and I see he has now been called into the panel. square.lodger (Kildare) - Posts: 68 - 24/04/2010 19:41:10 627979 Link 0 |
Darragh Mc Evoy (celbridge)... I have nightmares with that lad in them. Hardest marker I've faced. Should be in the squad. Injuries stopped him till now?? BigSam (Kildare) - Posts: 266 - 28/04/2010 11:57:02 632042 Link 0 |
I agree with the previous Post that Clane should have won and McEvoy moving onto Egan was a huge factor. Tomas Connor in midfield was untouchable and caused Celbridge problems the whole game. Its a pity Eddie McCormack was not a few years younger, still looks class... FearBan (Leitrim) - Posts: 131 - 28/04/2010 17:09:25 632609 Link 0 |
Big Sam. In relation to Darragh Mc Evoy- Injuries kept him out from last May until early this year.Played with the Juniors until the injury.Did not return to play with the Juniors this year as he decided to finish his studies to be a solicitor rather then committ to the Juniors. As far as I am aware he has suprisingly never been approached by the senior management. square.lodger (Kildare) - Posts: 68 - 29/04/2010 14:45:18 633590 Link 0 |
