I have no problem with banter and jokes, but surely posts like" you couldnt like Mayo people if you reared them" , is down right ignorance and insulting and to be blunt such comments would cause a row if said in a pub. This notion that people have about Mayo people being soft etc, is rubbish, our footballers have played a fair clean game thats true as it's the Mayo way, but to stereotype Mayo people in this way is stupid, they're are Mayo men who wouldn't be too shy at coming forward i promise ye that.I don't see it's relevance anyway in a GAA forum but the personal attacks on the characteristics of a Mayo man are coming fast and furious in here lately.
On a football note, i genuinely believe there must be a fear of a Mayo doing well this year by men who seem to dislike Mayo football. Mayo are a force that are coming to their peak soon, it might not be this year but god love the haters when we do actually win because we probably will win it soon, next 3 years we might land one if we don't this team will have not being good enough, it won't be like before in the sense our preparation and tactics will be right.

Winning finals is all about LUCK. Pure and simple. Most people on this forum havent got a clue and all they do is use the same old sound bites day after day. I can see why the country is in such a sad state.

you know what who cares what is being said in here, because i know in the real world 99% of gaa fans are dead on. anybody i ever meet from other counties say they would love to see us win one and there is always good banter both ways. to the mayo fans such as 51 -yes there have been some very personal attacks on us, its time to put this thread to bed and move on, we have a very important game against monaghan sunday, isnt it great to be alive and healthy to get up and go watch our county team in action.

UP MAYO!

why is it the mayo brigade on this site are the first to put the boot in when a team are down, just go back to last years championship when tyrone and dublin got knocked out the mayo posters were queuing up to put the boot in , of all the counties to kick a team when they are down. if this thread was about tyrone dublin or even meath ye mayo boyos would have a field day.

Brolly, with a term like "Bottle It" you were obviously brought up on the free BBC you hooked up to from your neighbours in the UK. To bottle it means to score only 2 points in an All Ireland final like Monaghan did when they played Kerry! 2 POINTS Lol.

Cavan posters don't take themselves too seriously. Off the top of my head, you could only say the same about Whiterbannnas

Hard for me to take meself seriously when no one else does

I would love to see mayo win an All Ireland title. They are a good bunch in general however as i stated in a previous thread i couldn't understand their anti Ulster bias when i called into a pub in Castlebar two years ago to watch the Armagh v Wexford game !! Maybe it was just the crowd in THAT pub and i hope that was the case !!
