excellent post mossbags but i believe we will bat every team by 500 points and also that galway will win liam by default as kilkenny will be too scared and so withdraw from the championship :)

they will probably get to the final and choke again resulting in a one sided mis-match and ruining the all-ireland final as a spectacle like they always do.

i reckon they should win by about 6 points.

but allowing for a lack of poxiness that other counties seem avail of more frequently than mayo,
i'd say the winning margin could be as low as 2 points.

I have a mate in the castlebar town council and he reckons they have plans put in place for the homecoming in september. A huge crowd is expected to descend on the town due to the huge fanatical support mayo enjoy not just in their own county but throughout the country. A large number of our neighbours from roscommon and galway are expected to attend

ive already booked 4 rooms in breaffy house and i would advise anyone intending to be part of this great night to do the same asap

It will be just like the Popes visit all over again, with people coming from the four corners of the nation to witness this piece of history. In fact wouldn't be surprised if the Vaticans main man himself was there himself for the homecoming. Whatever else you say about them the Mayo hillbillys sure know how to throw a party.

Does the Breaffy house still do a mean breakfast? I had a deadly plate of porkies there in 1951.

Probably narrowly, depending who they meet. Kerry would be a tough task, but i'd imagine Mayo will have too much in the tank for them again going on the recent meeting in the league. They have a good record against Tyrone so the law of averages says they should win that one. Last time they played Dublin in championship, Mayo won by a single score, that one would go to the wire but again, Mayo would be the betting man's favourites.

All in all, no matter who Mayo play in the final, I cant see any other opposition than them actually winning it..but it'll be a tight affair regardless.

Mayo will never win the All Ireland for one reason- they don't have the bottle! Don't get me wrong I would love to see them tackle Tyrone and Kerry but they just lack that bit of composure and always seem to crumble!

There seems to be alot of peoples noses pushed out of joint with mayo's latest win beating the all ireland champs on their home patch. Its early days lads, though i cant see from any of the posters counties been a problem for mayo this year. hows things down the bottom of the league tyrone and galway???? i wont comment on any of the posters who arent in division 1, i wont embarass them.

Lets face it all, Mayo are a bunch of young fellas. They're doing well at this time of the the year as they're faster than everyone else with other teams in heavy training. Once established county players from other counties get up to speed, they'll swat the Mayo lads away like flies. There's far too many small light guys in the team as well. There's no bigt strong men like they used to have. They'll get outmuscled like they always do later in the year. Anybody thinking otherwise is a bit misguided.

I'm afraid there's no All-Ireland in this current Mayo team. The long wait will continue for another year methinks.

I reckon theyll do the norm and lose the All Ireland by their customary 20 - 30 points. Makes great tv!!!
