Kildare minors are playing championship in Newbridge on Sat 17th April but that might not affect some of the fixtures.

Schedule for the 2010 Championship

12th September Round 3
19th September Round 4
26th September Quarter Finals
3rd October Semi Finals
17th October Final

Replays / Play-offs if necessary will be played mid week.

Going to be tough for any teams that play out a draw in the quarters or semis with the replay being midweek, could see teams playing 3 times in the space of 7 or 8 days which wouldn't be ideal.

The losers of Celbridge / Moorefield could be in big trouble going into the final round of games so that should be a cracking match. Larries and Carbury looks like it could be a great game too. Bit of a local derby in north Kildare with the Maynooth v Leixlip match and should be another tight game.

Overall the draw seems to be fairly well balanced with no match that looks like it could be a hiding.

Hopefully whoever does go on to win it will be able to give Leinster a good rattle and at least take some of the pain away from Sunday.

Leixlip 1:10 Maynooth 1-07.Comprehensive win despite the score.It was a fairly physical affair with Maynooth in particular squandering alot of chances in the first half.Leixlip are solid enough at the back but depended on Tommy Moolick to run things up front.He went off injured near the end after a couple of heavy challenges.Did very well for a 17 year old.However I don't think that either will feature at the business end.I hope I am wrong.
