Alas with the likes of Kevin , Baker needs to forget about him but ensure the door remains open. No point talkin to him and tryin to cajole him , that might have the opposite effect. The Antrim lads playin at the minute need to try and forge their own 'one for all ' mentality and forget Kevin McGourty. Hopefully a bit of continued success will be intoxicating.

I have heard he will be back and I really hope he does. Kevin hasn't done himself many favours regarding the county team over the past few years, but there is no doubting his talent. For me he was one of the best, if not the best, players for St Gall's throughout their Antrim, Ulster and All-Ireland campaigns.
Despte some provocation in some of the games i saw, he seemed to have added a real level of maturity and leadership to his undoubted ability, and his return would be a huge asset to the county. I can understand why some people don't want him back, but for me the bottom line is that I'm an Antrim fan and I want the best players lining out for Antrim to give us every chance of success.
If he is willing to come back, toe the line and work hard, then his return would be nothing short of a shot in the arm to the team and would improve our chances of major success.
