Mayo God help us

you have a chance of being in the last 8 because you are from Connaught and old woman with a broken a*se could score points in the Connaght Championship

Provincial Winners:

Cork
Mayo
Dublin
Tyrone (very hard to call Ulster, Derry, Down, Armagh, Donegal, Monaghan could all challenge and the others won't be too far away think things will come around for Tyrone though)

Qualifiers (very hard to call) will come from:

Kerry (almost certainly)
Kildare (likely depending on draw)
Galway (need to pull thing up, capable of having a very good championship)
Any of the Ulster sides mentioned above
Meath (dangerous with momentum)
Limerick (probable Munster finalists)
Tipperary (highly unlikely, need a series of favourable draws and big performances after being inevitably knocked out of Munster by Kerry)

I feel things could be very open this year which would be no bad thing. Kerry and Tyrone are not the teams they were in recent years. Cork, Mayo and Dublin are enigmas and I don't see it changing. They could win Sam on any given day but not on the actual day in Mayo and Cork's case, alas. I feel Armagh could do a lot better than many predict but I think Galway will need to be watched. JK is a shrewd man and there are good players there. In fairness to the other counties it's an easy province to go far in which will help.

Yew tree, I think we might have a budding WUM in the making here, lets just watch this space and see how he "matures"!

I shall look forward to reminding you of the folly of your prediction, say about August time.

if the aforementioned old woman picks up a hamstring Mayo must be favourites to get out of Connaught and qualify for the last 8 Tyrone are looking like a jaded team out back door 1st round. still you can always watch us in the Ulster final, i've had the pleasure of watching Tyrone in Clones so often, I'll miss your team!

Just from looking at a few posts here.. can't see why many are putting Meath in the last 8.. league form is simply terrible but we've the best panel of players we've had in a while so we'll see how the championship unveils.. anyway heres my predictions for last 8;

Provincial Winners:
1.) Down(Showing great form in league.. Im feeling they could be the next big force in Ulster..)
2.) Dublin(Can't see anyone touching them in Leinster.. by far the best team..)
3.) Galway(Joe Kernan will have things right for the championship.. I feel strongly about Galway this year..)
4.) Cork(Kery won't beat them outside Croke Park.. they'll be there or thereabouts this year.. but I think come the latter stages of the championship they'll bottle things as usual..)

Qualifiers: Very hard to call.. always a darkhorse pops out of nowhere..
5.) Kildare
6.) Tyrone(They're extremely dangerous when they come through the backdoor.. they always go far when coming under the radar..)
7.) Derry
8.) Kerry(Never write them off..)

Provincial Winners :
- Munster = Cork
- Ulster = Armagh or Derry (whoever wins that match)
- Connacht = Mayo
- Leinster = Dublin

Through the ''Back door'' :
- Down (Going strong, will probably reach Ulster Semi's)
- Kerry (NEVER write them off)
- Donegal (Could be a possible force to be reckoned with)
- Tyrone (Never really do well in the league, save all potential for the Championship)

Hoping that Derry's poor league form doesn't rub off in the Championship!
Doíre abú!

The Hurling final 8
Kilkenny
Galway
Cork
Tipperary
Dublin
Waterford

2 others out of Wexford, Clare, Limerick and Offaly

For last 4 please refer to top 6 as others will not be involved at the semi final stage. Tipp, Kilkenny, Waterford and Cork would be favourites I imagine but really would be great if Dublin made it to the semi final stage.

Couldn see it being any worse than last year so i'll go out on a limb...Laois could make the final 8. No further but a straightened out laois could cause problems to most teams.

51longago, Paddyogall, whiterbanannas are obviously all the same person. Its probably just Ballboy under different names, sprouting the same rubbish. I would actually be fairly sure that he/she isnt even from Mayo and is just on here for the craic and to wind people up.

The ridiculous thing is that constantly people on here are falling for it. Says more about yourselves that this person.
