I don't care about Kilkenny being popular….. it means we are doing something right, usually the most liked teams are the ones who we all feel sorry for the Mayo's of the world, or Kildare. Every county play the same game, little flicks and niggles, its just that when we do it its dirty, when Waterford targeted Tommy Walsh the last 3 times they were playing it was the game the way it should be played. It's quite typical for jealous folk to want to see you beaten but bitterness from a non senior county is unusual.
Ah, so the reasons why Kilkenny have won 4 in a row are…..

We get biased Referees, officiating our matches.
We get to play so called "better teams" in pitches that suit us.
We are so dirty that teams can't cope.

Nothing to do with having a better team, Panel and better tactics than any other county, and we play to our strengths… skill, and power.
That day we hammered Seamus Hickey, because he was physically weaker than any of the other backs that are clever not dirty. You are mixing up dirty with shrewd. It's not our fault he was smaller than our forwards, and only one of the hits he got that day resulted in a free, another bias referee I suppose??

Ondabutton,

You are actually beginning to worry me with your unhealthy state of mind. I have a friend you can talk to he deals people of an unsound mind. If the admin folk want to organise it I can give you his name and number privately. That talent is really showing up too…. I just checked the minor and u21's … overall, All Ireland titles from 2000 inclusive its actually 6 All-Ireland titles to 5 for hm…. Let me check that, yes it is right Kilkenny?
Stop talking now before you make another stupid statement along the lines of …. Sure Niall Hayes is better than Henry Shefflin!

One more thing, when was the last game Kilkenny were dirty??

Just back from watching ourselves and Cats and if the truth be told Dublin were the more agressive and 'on the edge' but you see who won! Good game, some great point scoring both sides and Walsh proved once again why he has his all stars. For us, a better display than last week and shows the potential that's there but long way to go. Would love to watch the Cats training for June. Be some competition there!!

great result with galway, have to say was witness to the clinical fouling of kilkenny once galway began putting presure on them in the second half, they resort to thier dirty tactics when under preasure, up galway

Current renkings.

1. KK
2. Tipp
3. Galway
5= Cork/Waterford
6. Dublin
7. Wexford
8. Clare
9. Limerick

Limerick at full strength would probably leapfrog Clare and Wexford, and would be close with Dublin.

On a separate note, great to see Carlow so competitive in div 2. Almost beat Clare yesterday aswell, a win there would have seen them in line for promotion. I wonder if they'd make a decent stab at the Leinster Championhip, right now they're proabably not that far behind the likes of Offaly, Wexford and Dublin.

Aidangalway, you seem to have forgotten a certain Offaly in your hurling rankings. Fair enough, we are not the power house that we once were, but we are slowly beginning to work our way back up.

You may well be proven right and I hope you are (after Wexford Galway and Waterford are my next favourite teams) but surely in Galway you have had more than enough false dawns at this time of the year to avoid saying things like that?

While its early days yet i have seen most team live or on the box and i think there is very little between the top five or six teams, on any given day any team could beat the other and it could be reversed the following week which makes me think that this summer we will have mighty fare to entertain us.
Based on what i have seen and the talent available my ranking order is as follows.
1 Galway
2 Tipp-- Kilkenny--Waterford
3 Cork
4 Dublin--Offaly
5 Clare--Wexford--Laois
