Puddersthecat well said. Some people like fonejacker seem to think that if kilkenny stop winning the championship will open right up!! I'm a proud laois man but i know our limitations. The only way up is to improve ourselves. Not to hope all the opposition drop off! Markymark (Laois) - Posts: 644 - 18/03/2010 12:15:47 591158 Link 0 |

Kilkenny are on top, but with Tipp, Galway and Waterford closing the gap. Hurling has become hugely competitive, and Kilkennys dominance, rather than spoiling the sport, seems to have encouraged the other counties to imporve their game. Well done Kilkenny!! festinog (Galway) - Posts: 3154 - 18/03/2010 16:36:02 591643 Link 0 |

I honestly can't believe any supporter of the stronger teams would be happy that their team only scored a point in 40 minutes of hurling no matter how they played in the first 30 mins and wouldn't have been happy with the first 30 either if i were you no killer instinct there what so ever, seem like their waiting on joe to come back and any time that has to depend on one player has to be questioned i know we depended on solely eoin kelly for years!!! And no i don't think galway faded out it had more to do with Tipp getting in the game. Hag_and_Cheese (Tipperary) - Posts: 6103 - 18/03/2010 16:46:02 591659 Link 0 |

I wish the Clare hurling team would play on the edge. I train teams to try and get them to be physical, dominating, robust, but within the limits allowed. At this moment in time, I feel Tipp are going that little bit better than Kilkenny and have a slight edge this year. Of course I could be wrong. My rankings could change significantly come mid June or July. The_16th_Man (Clare) - Posts: 251 - 18/03/2010 16:54:34 591678 Link 0 |

fonejacker regarding your post directed towards markymark. No one is bowing down to kilkenny and letting hurling die in their county. He is just acknowledging that kilkenny are a brilliant team. Something that you cant seem to except. I for one agree that they do play the rules on the edge but so what. The only reason why teams like Dublin, Galway and most of all Tipp came close to them last year is because they adapted that style of play. I am no lover of kilkenny whatsoever and would always support the team they are playing against but I have nothing but respect for what they have achieved. Fonejacker if you read my post i said that its up to everyone to improve to kilkenny's level. Not to hope they come back a few steps to ours! Markymark (Laois) - Posts: 644 - 19/03/2010 12:05:48 592338 Link 0 |

Kkid im not crazy, im not a multi account poster and I most definetely amn't wrong. KK are a dirty team in my opinion and that's a fact-they are a very unattactive team to watch as a result. I know from Brian Cody's pov that it's very much a results based game but id prefer if they used legal tactics to achieve success. Two sendings off in 4 years doesnt prove anything. It only illustates the poor quality of refereeing and referees continuing bias towards KK. ondabutton (Galway) - Posts: 222 - 19/03/2010 12:46:15 592403 Link 0 |

have to agree with ondabutton as regards kilkenny playin dirty, In fairness tommy walsh is a great hurler but in my opinion he has an ugly side who has got away with far too much in the past as the team in a whole. How can all you people replying on this thread respect kilkenny me and ondabutton are the only questioning kilkennys fairness. Having spoken to people evrywhere everyone is sick of kilkenny playin dirty and getting away with it all these niggling little clever fouls on other players, look at what they did in the 2007 final, they targeted seamus hickey of limerick and gave him a physical hammering. If their so god damn skilful why cant they play alone with it and not play dirty and hammer teams. fonejacker (Kildare) - Posts: 315 - 19/03/2010 13:21:48 592456 Link 0 |

Ondabutton, will you stop….. There is no bias towards Kilkenny …. Look at the league match last weekend, why didn't the wing back walk for use of the hurl too? Richie Power got 2 frees given against him for nothing. It's all swings and roundabouts, decisions usually balance themselves out over the season. KKid im right lets just leave it at that. As for picking the galway team for the championship well thats very difficult given the amount of talent galway have. ondabutton (Galway) - Posts: 222 - 19/03/2010 14:30:13 592533 Link 0 |
