Best score you have seen at a Match

Well I could pick so many from C McD, his score from the halfway line against Kerry, his points against the Dubs in 06.

Paul Galvin against us when he came on as a sub hit some wonderful scores.

Owen Mulligans goal.

I remember a class Roscommon free against us in the Connaught final way back. It was a free off the ground about halfway into the wind and he (cant remember his name) put it between the sticks with plenty to spare!

and of the two superscore from mcdonald in the 04 final or the two against dublin in 06- probably the 4 best score ever taken on the hallowed ground, shane horgans against england also get a credible mention

Spuddy, that free you're talkin about was derek duggan in the 91 connaught final in mchale park.He scored it in the last minute to take the game to a replay in the hyde which roscommon won, some kick alright,i remember as a young lad watchin that go over in disbeilf a man could kick a ball that far! Agree with you about countless KmcD points for club and county. Also maurice fitz in semple stadium and the meath lads goal (name escapes me right now) for pure drama in the 3rd drawn game of the epic dublin meath saga.

Thought Ciaran Whelan's goal against Armagh in the 2002 semi was a cracker, thankfully it wasnt enough to beat us that day. Muggsy's goal against the dubs was another cracker.

Think it was Derek Duggan that took that free for the Rossies, a great free kick , that wasnt a bad rossie team either could have beaten that Great Meath team in 91 too

Even if it was a dead ball it's hard to look beyond Maurice Fitz's sideline ball against the Dubs in Thurles. Pressure on, he used the wind to maximum advantage and he even had Tommy Carr to contend with putting him off!!

As a Donegal man, my favourite score (recently at least) was Eamon McGee's monster point on his weaker left foot against Mayo in the NFL final last year. Inspirational score and ended Mayo's resistance that day I believe.

Prob mulligans goal against the dubs although ciaran whelans against us was a cracker too. Galwayfans mention of donnellans point is 98 is certainly worth a mention. Ciaran mcdonald has scored some fine points. What about the chip on the dublin goalkeeper from free kick think it was Eagan. Just the cheek of it more than anything.

Maurice Fitzgerald's point against dublin from a sideline on the halfway line a few years back. was raging that he drew level to bring it to a replay, but what a cracker of a point!!

Mulligan's goal is definitely up there. For sheer importance Declan Bonner's score against the dubs in 92...turned to the hogan stand and raised his fist....Sam was for the hills

What are you guys on about.Without a shadow of a doubt it has to be Mulligans goal when he made a right jackdaw of two Dubs.
In a tight 2nd,it would have to go to Fitzmaurices sideline kick and in 3rd,De Paors score after Donnelans solo run.
Anyone who doubts that has serious explaining to do.

Ciaran Carey's wonder point at the death against Clare in the Gaelic Grounds in 1996, a stifling hot day matched with an even hotter game.......unreal game, I think that was the game where Clare lost their hopes of three in a row, had they won that dont think they would have been stopped...........

Twas Mickey Sheehy, Samin! Cheeky and opportunist alright. Turned the game on its head and was one of 5 that went past Paddy that day I think. As Micheal O'Hehir said "Oh Paddy, Oh Paddy, Oh Paddy"! Mmmm must go and post this on the Your worst day as a supporter thread now that I think of it!

Robert Hughes for menlough in the Galway intermediate final 2006. 65 metres, out at the sideline on his bad side while the teams were level in the last minute.
