St Galls V KIB, AI Senior Club Football Final 2010

Derek Fahy appointed referee, with a track record like his I think this could come down to a battle of the free takers, and worrying to see the report of CJ McGourty's possible injury. Any thoughts?

Fahy is a good ref.If your team has manners they will have nothing to worry about.

Would wish St. Galls all the best; Antrim teams haven't had the luck of it at Croke over the years so would be great to see them bringing the Andy Merrigan across the border and up to the Falls Road. Would think that the forwards would need to show a lot more composure than they did last time they got to this stage - and with a few years under their belt I would expect to see the best of the McGourtys, Niblock and O'Neill with the obvious addition of R.Gallagher who will make a serious difference. Go gcuire Dia an t-ádh ort.

I hope they are hammerred as I never like to see clubs from weaker counties winning anything as it gives the GAA a bad name. Antrim are the worst team in Ulster and you are dreaming if you disagree. My ratings are as follows:

1 Tyrone
2 Monaghan
3 Derry
4 Armagh
5 Down
6 Donegal
7 Fermanagh
8 Cavan
9 Antrim

Cant believe someone from Louth is giving off about weak GAA counties, glass house and stones come to mind, had to chuckle when I read the post.

On the issue of CJ, he has been injured for almost a year now and still remains our top scorer. He will play some part on 17th, he deserves the chance.

In relation to referees, every Northern club and county knows they have to play 16 men when playing Southern opposition. We take it as read, so the ref should make no difference. I am tempted to say he could not be worse than the gentleman from Meath who made a hash of the semi final, but won't tempt fate. It is interesting to note that both semifinals were "affected" by poor referees.

In reply to 2faced..How is Antrim a weaker county? You should really think about where you are coming from before you decide to point the finger. last time i check Louth are not up in the list of the best footballing county's in Ireland. So please crawl back to your wee Louth homepage there. Good luck to St galls next week.

Louth have 3 All Irelands and how many have Antrim. Antrim have never won anything and never will and it is clear that Antrim club football is terrible when the majority of the Galls players are starting for Antrim. Would Antrim beat Tyrone, Monaghan , Derry , Armagh or Down in the championship. The simple answer to that question is NO. Hopefully Kilmurray take the All Ireland to Clare.

The refs in the semi-finals did a reasonable job.Good luck to St.Galls but lads park the anti-southern refs bias at the border on the way down.

I know Antrim are playing Louth in a few weeks and I expect a comprehensive Louth victory and they will have the galls men back by then so Antrim will have no excuses.
