Tyrone U21's

McDermott sure would have been, will be involved at some stage i imagine. 3 other players in with a good shout of starting (had they been fit) were; Peter Hughes, Stephen Curran & Ryan Pickering. Should be a close game, 1 or 2 points either way will swing it. Lets just hope its the Red Hands to give the seniors the drive to get back on track.

Is Michael Gallagher injured? Thought him and McDermott would have been cert starters.

Should be a great game in Omagh, I'm really disappointed that I can't get to it. As posters have said here already, there was nothing between these teams at minor level in 2007. From the Derry perspective, the hope is that Derry will shade it by a point or two, as we have a strong team out with the likes of James Kielt, who already looks like an outstanding footballer, Declan Mullan and Seamus Bradley having already proved themselves fit for senior intercounty football. At the same time, Tyrone fans might equally be confident in the abilities of Koney, McKenna, McNabb and others. I think that many of the best young footballers in the country will be playing tonight and the winners would have to be serious contenders for national honours - just let it be Derry, please, we need a bit of glory over here. Doire Abu!

I doubt some boys on the U21 have also got carried away with their own media hype that is choking all Tyrone teams at the minute. All players and managers should stop talking to the press as its getting worse than the English soccer team or Dublin GAA. All this media hype of building us up and setting us up for a fall has to end before Antrim humiliate us in the senior. New U21 management and A book burning ceremony is required.

Probably jump off the nearest bridge- or failing that, will in all likelihood go to work

I would not be surprised to see Derry fall at the next hurdle. They could well have geared their season to winning this game. A repeat of the Down senior effort in '08; problem is there is no back doorin this competition. Badly missed opportunity all the same. The management team need to take a hard look at themselves...

I would certainly agree that one member of the management should take a long hard look at himself. What ever was he thinking squirting water on Declan Bell. He should be removed from the coaching/Management panel immediately by the County board. It was embarassing to see a supposed mature adult carry on like a 13 year old.
But in regard to the football I thought Derry were a much better unit. Kielt and Coney were not as good as we might have expected. But it probably was a lot easier in the stand.
