Have Mayo a chance against Dublin??It has the makings of a ding-dong battle....

Mayo will fancy themselves to win this one I think. Dublin are still very much in experimental mode regardless of the back to back wins they've clocked up against Kerry and Derry. Mayo have been in flying form so far. O'Mahony has them playing with a bit of a swagger. Granted they will be missing players but Dublin will too. Mayo's win against Tyrone was impressive as Tyrone played fairly well for most of the match regardless of the shenanigans at the end of the game. Truth be told about Dublins win over Derry, the game was very poor for the most part and only when Bernard Brogan instilled some confidence in the rest of the forwards and provided Dublin with a better scoring outlet did Dublin romp home. Up until his introduction it was 2 teams playing badly bar the first 15 minutes for Dublin.

So yes, I would fancy Mayo myself for this one.

I did not type this. Someone tweaked this. I actually posted that John O'Mahony is foolish to say Mayo have a chance against Dublin.

Mayo are at home against an experimental Dublin team... Mayo are favourites in my book.

Of course they have a chance but the result won't affect any results in the Championship...at the end of the day it's only a league match in March

Mayo are 8/13 which is about right. Dublin very bad record down there, hardly ever won.

Not so worried about the result but what should be of great concern to everyone is the possible behaviour of the dubs supporters. We all remember the state they left castlebar in the last time they visited. There were numerous stories of drunken, violent and loutish behaviour. Lets hope we see none of this kind of thing this weekend. A good, enjoyable game of football is all we want to see. And dubs fans, there are good toilet facilities in mchale park. Please use them

What if we are "jumped" by the infamous Mayo Casuals WB??
Have we the right to protect ourselves?
Apparently their sole aim is to be the "Hill 16" of Mayo :)

Classy!

Better bring a blade just in case lads!!

a liam come on your sounding like a kerry man now. i think it will be a very close affair and i actually think it will be a draw, both teams have had great starts but where that will leave us both come summer remains to be seen. i think both teams would have targeted surival in division 1 and with only two games gone that task is nearly done.

to the dubs worried about mayo ultra's hiding in wait down dark streets - im sure witterbannas and paddy will be on hand to police the sitution :).
best of luck to mayo and a big welcome to dublin.

Come on Mayo people its not as if the Nordies are coming down with their wild ways, Its fellow Irish people. The Dubs arent a bad lot and will bring a bit of money into the town.

Dublin have'nt beaten Mayo in Caslebar in the League since 1992, so I suppose you could say Mayo have a fair chance of winning this one.

Hey Paddy I love that comment about Nordies with their 'wild ways'. You sound like a befrocked bar maiden in some distress. We'll try not to worry you unduely when we hit town in future.
