How do ye get into the civil service?? I want to be a civil servant but im not sure how to go about this

In Northern Ireland you just show up. Everyone gets a Civil service job up there.

There is currently a promotion and recruitment embargo, even my crowd are not recruiting, and we are the last refuge for scoundrels.

And if you are posting on here you may not be welcome as there is a serious religious imbalance that needs addressed, so the Civil Service needs a large number of protestants to balance the books.

Is there anything to stop you from sticking down that you are protestant on your application form even if you are a catholic?
If what Patrique says is true it'd be a smart move.

Alternatively if you are a protestant and want to join the PSNI, it's probably a smart move to say that your Catholic.
