PS....Birmingham had beaten Norwich, so even a Man u win would not have saved them

not sure of the details, but i saw it on youtube, the one where a player gets injuryed near the sideline and the opposing manager kicks the ball away in disgust only for it to go the whole way into the net, and then for the referee to send him off for kicking the ball away, CLASSIC.

Ronnie Whelan's goal against Russia in the '88 European Championships. Volley from the edge of the box from a Mick McCarthy (I think) throw in.

Gerrard v Olympiakis in the 04/05 Champions League. Andy Gray's commentary said it all.

578756 As we all know Law was a City player, went to Italy, back to United, and then back to City. However he was seriously miffed at United letting him go and had developed a hatred towards them. Hopefully time healed this.
So, in this game, back heel, United relegated, Dennis about to show his rear end to the United bench when he realises the hooligans have invaded the pitch and restrains himself.
He wasn't so restrained in the night club later on when he did display his rear end.
Now any City or United fan would give up all to have that moment, obviously reversed if you were a red.
PRICELESS.

Patrique.....Denis Law DID NOT Relegate Man U, Birmingham city did!! Denis Law's goal was irrelevant as Man u would have gone down anyway.
This is the biggest soccer MYTH of ALL TIME

Correct!! I've been saying that to all the ABU's for years.

You keep saying that to yourself, if it eases the pain.

Dennis and us, we know the truth.

And so did the hooligans who invaded the pitch.

And any of the two the Goat scored in the 3-1 win would be next.

Or SWP 4th in the 4-1 game.

At the top of this thread I mentioned Justin Fashanu's goal against Liverpool. Off the ball did a piece on him last night and it seems he was bullied by Brian Clough at Notts Forest due to his homosexuality. Clough went down a long way in my estimation when I heard that. Still the greatest goal ever imo.

Ease the Pain???? I'm not a Man U fan so I don't have any pain
You, Dennis and hooligans need to realize that Birmingham beat Norwich. Therefore, What happened at O\T that day was irrelevant
and a MYTH !!

Well no, but thats not the point. What Clough did was disgraceful. The poor fella took his own life eventually.
