skea seem to be a much improved side this year.. they have came on leaps and bounds from last year.. they are starting to work well as a unit and are improving with every game. they should give the armagh league division 2 a good run for its money as id say come championship time they should give lisbellaw a good go... all the best to them.
Im sure skea will do well in the armagh league 2 but this is nothing to be proud of think they will struggle come championship time with the law lads playing against quality sides week in and out. Last year skea played these teams and still got beat cant c any difference this year. That is of course if skea manage to beat the knocks in the championship semi. LOL
643560 i think your attitude to junior football stinks, showsfair , surely there is 7 days in a week why cant the county manager not call his training on an evening or a sunday morning that would suit everyone whats your problem with junior football there is not enough hurling in our county to make playing hurling alone so surely they should be entitled to play football as well and wear their club jerysey with pride always
Squareball2, your arrguement regarding the above speaks voulumes regarding your own iggnorance towards the development of hurling within the county. I'll go very slow on this regarding the current hurling commitmentes for clubs firstly, Monday Nights - Fermanagh Hurling League - 2 games left before final, therefore 3 games in total. Tuesday Nights - Armagh Hurling League fixtures. Wednesday Nights - Possible club training for all players - also County Minor training. Thursday or Friday Nights - Senior Training County. Saturday's - Currently nothing, however pending how well your club did in the ulster league, there is potentially another two games to play. Semis and final. Therfore leaving Saturday and Sunday free for football. Rember if you are playing for your county at a particular code (hurling), then you alligance should be with your hurling club and county, then when the time is available, the odd junior football match to keep you ticking over. You would not be on the county hurling team, by merit of playing junior or senior football, it based on how you get on playing hurling for you club, who have spent time and help developed your skills.
Most importantly, how much time do ye's have on your hands to write comments that long??
It's a debate forum for everyone, so the responses can be long or short. Same as been asked a question you can give a long or short answer. Mostly lunchtime or evening responses.
It seems that the county minor hurling team is very young! not many over the age of 17. sum very young for county minor level but seem to be producing the goods. e.g Conor McElroy, Thomas Cleary and Ciaran Corrigan. all apparently played very well on sat! Fair play to them . Keep it going lads and keep working hard for what seems like a great trainer Ryan. Go on and beat Donegal! Can't see the footballers doing to well .. go out and do your county proud lads!!
