omaghredhand, Whether one agrees or disagrees with the sentiments, your post is one of the most powerful and articulate that I have read on the site. Well done and the best of luck with your degree.

Its amazing how they react when you agree with them, of course when you dont you know nothing about politics, sure how would you, being a free stater that has not suffered being sold out.

The bomb in Newry was probably part of a British/Unionist plot to discredit Nationalists

The law does not stop these poeple destroying housing estates , even youths annoying the old poeple in there own homes and drugs, drinking, burning cars, etc so yes they desrve to get punisiment beatings .

____________
That was not my question.

I asked a series of questions about who should determine their guilt and what their moral standing was and what rights the accused had
I also asked if a person who gave a punishment beating to someone who was subsquently determined innocent, was themselves guilty of a crime under this "vigilante law" that you condone and if so what should the punishment be.
On an addittional point do you also support a vigilante state in the 26 counties where the criminal law structure is pretty much similar to that of NIRE.

Excellent response...here here.

__________

You are not being consistent in your view. You post was fundamentally different to the post ORH has made which whilst being one I disagree with it was substaniated and did consider both angles of the debate. so are you agreeing with his post or your hang them if they cough post.

the reason why we are all on here arguing is because people do not see that the dissidents, and the provosionals, are 2 diffrent bodies.
the provos had 2 fight years ago 4 the nationalist community , and had the backing with inside villages ,towns.
the dissidents have no support whatsoever.
so please do not dance on the graves of bobby sands , ray mc creesh, or joe mc donnell.
or the leaders of 1916, or the men of 98.

derryman. my facts are right in the aftermath of sunningdale the war council in whitehall introduced operation motorman.
they waded in with their saracens and in and around derry and belfast especially , their treatment of nationalists was not pretty.
but the crowd u stated set up road blocks and brought the province 2 a stanstill.
all the best derryman, i hope i made myself a bit clearer.

What is the difference between a Dissident and a Republican
