571354 Very Poor line up in my view, Its like the organisers got a Now 65 cd and decided to hire all the groups on it. Usually they have some artists (way down the list) that I like but this year is a huge disappointment.

Hopefully that will mean all the good artists will be available for EP as Breff said.

Maybe you just have bad taste in music.

_________

Hate John Mayer, Kasabian's frontman is a ****** and I wouldn't go to see Paolo Nutini if he was playing across the road.

Kasabian, Prodigy, F+the machine, The temper trap, 2 door cinema club.

I would go to see these alone. Add in Jay-z, David guetta, stereophonics, La Roux , armand van helden and it's top notch. Good to see Oxygen getting away from snow patrol, KOL and the like.

570995 Eminem, Muse, Jay-Z, Black Eyed Peas, Kasabian, The Prodigy, Florence+The Machine, Paolo Nutini, Faithless, Stereophonics, David Guetta, Vampire Weekend, Mumford & Sons John Mayer, Hot Chip, Calvin Harris, Newton Faulkner, Gossip, The Temper Trap, Empire Of The Sun, Goldfrapp, La Roux, Wolfmother, Rise Against, The Coral, Broken Social Scene, Ellie Goulding, Two Door Cinema Club, Armand Van Helden, Steve Angello, Simian Mobile Disco, Erol Alkan, Steve Aoki, A-Trak, Aeroplane and many more.

The only ones I'd pay to see would be Muse and Vampire Weekend. Hypothetically, if I got in for free, I'd have a look and Jay-z and Eminem out of curiosity, THe Prodigy, Mumford & Sons, Hot Chip, Goldfrapp. I've seen the coral, BSS, Kasabian (i think), F&TM, Stereophonics before and they're nothing to write home about. Everything else I wouldn't open the curtains for if they were playing in my back garden. Roll on EP!

Agree Jimbo, gave up on Oxegen years ago when someone tried to burn down my tent while i was in it.

Florence+The Machine, Vampire Weekend, Mumford & Sons John Mayer, Newton Faulkner, The Temper Trap, Empire Of The Sun, Goldfrapp, Wolfmother, The Coral, Broken Social Scene, Two Door Cinema Club

Acts better suited to electric picnic.... Missed Florence and Temper Trap at the picnic last year didn't get there till late on the friday but have seen them since, absolute class!

571195 Only good thing I can say about that lineup is at least the Killers aren't there again.

It's Rock Am Ring for me this year - all the good acts from Oxegen plus Alice In Chains, RATM, Them Crooked Vultures, Motorhead...

nor kings of leon

is that rock am ring the festival oasis played last year

Here's this year's Rock Am Ring lineup. As you can see it's all the good bands from Oxegen plus other waay better acts. I'm sick of Oxegen and haven't gone in a few years now (too many 17year old ********) and while I was at EP last year the lineup just isn't that great and it's too expensive for the bands it gets.

Would love to go to Glastonbury no matter who's playing, but tickets are impossible to get, so a few of us decided this year to head to Rock Am Ring. It's based at the Nurburgring F1 track in Germany. One of my mate's brothers went there last year and he highly recommended it. Don't know about Oasis playing it last year, don't think so though.

Maybe I do, but at least Oxegen used to cater for my 'bad tastes'. i.e Interpol, LCD sounsystem,, Battles, Bloc Party, James Brown (RIP) RATM, REM, Blur etc...

It seems this year the Organisers didn't get any groups that aren't not the playlist of i102 or Spin or similar radio stations unfortunately.

Its like a supermarket that stops selling Brie because most people like Cheddar.

It will be Lollapalooza for me this August!

I just had a good look at the line up and i have to say im really disappointed, none of the bands i went to see in 08 are there ie Kings of Leon (which are bit g*y now but were very good then), Seasick Steve, the Saw Doctors, Ian Brown, The Pogues, The Verve (who gave one of the best preformances ive ever seen).

Can't really say i listen to any of the 2010 line up on a regular basis, maybe a touch of eminem, the prodogy, stereophonics if i was pushed but thats it. Think i was born about 40 years too early for music!

Yeah man... some nice acts up there no doubt and ur spot on... Def more suited to EP

Oxegen is for the young lot... the ones that go out and buy the "festival look"! Cowboy Hat.. sun glasses...wellys and some sort of schedule thing around their necks! and then spend the rest of the time sitting by the tent trying to keep clean.

And again far too many cops about the place... but they have to be there to keep an eye on the s*** bags.....? Another problem that EP doesnt have to contend with!
