It's hard to look past ballycran. They have a number of players up front who will cause portaferry constant problems. Portaferry have limited threat and with sean ennis and/or conor woods in defence, i find it hard to see dule getting enough of the ball to carry portaferry to the title. If the pitch is heavy it might keep the game close, but i expect ballycran to come out on top by 3+, and win their first back to back titles in a long time. Well done Portaferry, deserving champions and good luck against Swatragh in the semi-final BarrackBuster (Down) - Posts: 525 - 30/09/2012 11:15:12 1274987 Link 0 |
I wish all the usual suspects i.e sliothar, bricktop etc had of listened to me, i predicted ports wud coast to win the championship and i was correct. Well done portaferry and good luck in ulster. I have no doubt that we could beat loughgiel with leaders like fergal rodgers, aaron oprey and paul smyth and fringe players like John convery and Paul Braniff could play aaprt aswell. dickdanman (Down) - Posts: 26 - 01/10/2012 11:49:18 1275546 Link 0 |

to those Portaferry supporters thinking they will beat Loughuile, they should really worry about Swatragh first. I wouldnt be suprised if Swatragh came out on top in this one but as a Down Gael I wish Portaferry the best of luck for this encounter. grandagrokepoke (Down) - Posts: 347 - 02/10/2012 12:53:55 1276336 Link 0 |
"Portaferry won't be as bad as they were against Ballygalget and certain personnel will be given jerseys with 17+ on the back, but I'm not sure they have the strength in depth they think they have. I'd be happy for both Coleman's to be starting especially Barry as the legs have gone and can be exposed better on the big pitch. We'll need big games out of the usual suspects, Sean, Michael, Coyler, Aidan Clarke, Paul Keith etc, and others to do their bits, as the Ports are fairly strong up the middle but lacking down the wings and we'll need to keep every ball hugging the sidelines." swan song (None) - Posts: 451 - 03/10/2012 15:32:55 1277289 Link 0 |
