Carrickmacross for League and Cup double?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I was recently speaking to a man in Monaghon, and he was telling me that 'big things' are expected this year from the Carrickmacross men this year.. Would be 'pushing the boat' to say that there is a league and cup double in them this year?? Or will this team have to gel their young players together and wait for Seamus McEnney and possible the Freeman brothers to transfer to them in the summer transfer window??

Well lads times are bad when fellow Monaghon people take the mickey out of me! Francie 'lad', there is no need for me to be going to the local for a few bottles.. the off-season is over and its time to play ball.. Fatman, I've now realised there is no such thing as a summer transfer window and the chances of the Freeman brothers lining out in the black and red of Carrickmacross are relatively low now!

'freemanfan', am only a young follower of GAA in Monghan and not too sure on what towns have clubs.. As you are a fan of Tommy Freeman, is there any chance of him joining Carrickmacross this year?? as I feel corner forward is a weak spot in our team.. You wake up, be past your bed time!

Transfer window closed, any chance of a few loan singings though? Fatman have you heard of any possible signings?

Judging by your pathetic comments FarneyArmy27 it is clear that you have limited knowledge of Gaelic games. I would like to ask the other posters have any players transferred to carrick.

fool its clontibrets or blayneys this year. they may win the league but dont think anyone can beat these teams when they have the right attitude about them

Lads lads why do we have a person from Cavan on here chattin about their prospects this season?? I doubt this person will need to spend their 'communion money' on a day out in Croker this year!! Same old Cavan, early exit again!

I heard at the Monaghan game at the weekend that Andy Callan had retired and is now a selector with the Carrick senior team with John Toal who is training them. I know some carrick reserve players who played under him at reserve level rate him very highly as a manager but surely he would be a bigger help to carrick if he played on with the senior team for another while yet. Will be a big loss to them if he is finished playing.
