Hopefully, it'd be great to get Dessie back on board. Would prefer to see Dessie back than Glennon. He's a great player but he doesnt seem to have much team spirit.

to all of the people who have left bad comments about dennis glennon you must be arm-chair critics footballers who never kicked a football in yer lives, there is no conparsion the present day football to the 80's football as the standard of football at the moment is very high. dennis glennon lives for football as its in his blood his 2 uncils played on same offaly team for 10 years corner back and wing half foward, dennis has alot more to give and its only a matter of time as he is super athlete who can turn to any sport

Fotball ..you'd prefer to see dessie back than glennon because glennon dosent seem to have much team spirit??

Des dolan being the man who left the team because his father was not given a job?this is not a man with much team spirit in my opinion!..

This may be dessies final year where as glennon has plenty more to come and a fresher pair of legs!!

To be fair i think the young man glennon has far more to offer than des!!

Great to see both them back though, just making a point!!

Great to see mick ennis as captain again for sunday!..now theres a man with team spirit!!

big ron summed you up on another thread. your right and everyone else is wrong especially when it comes to anyone , god forbid , praising dennis.

Jaysus RhodeJim, you're very touchy. Merely asked a question. I rate Denis as one of the best player I have seen in my 30 years supporting Westmeath. I have no problem with anybody speaking highly of Denis. i asked the question becuase in the past you have been scathing in your remarks on other westmeath players, some better than Denis others not. i was just trying to figure out your reasons for speaking so highly of Denis.

Rhodejim its obvious we know talent when we see it, people can b very critical when thing are going bad but the same people are very quiet when things are going well for dennis. good luck to westmeath on sunday lookin foward to seeing the new full-forward line in action 13=p.greville 14=m.flanagahan 15=d.glennon

People just have an issue with dennis because the perceive him as being flash. i had a go at a supporter who was giving him abuse last sunday. Denis is a class act, as ive always said, one of the best we've ever had.

On another point RJ, who is that clown in the Offaly jersey that seems to be at every Westmeath game cheering on the opposite team. he always stands behind the goals when he is at games.

Great to see Denis contributing so much to the overall team performance on Sunday last. Wicklow were surprised by the role he was given.

Dessie - that clown in the Offaly jersey is LIFFO. Did ye not see him sucking on a lemon coming out after the game.

I believe the clown that goes to all the Westmeath games and stands behind the goals with the Offaly Jersey on him is Liffo ha ha! Seen him in Longford standing behind the goals a couple of times when Westmeath played them in championship couple of years back

good man, spend all spring arguing with me when i said he's a great player but when he's firing stand up for him.

and that weirdo was wearing a wicklow jersey last year in the same fixture!

Incorrect on both counts RhodeJim. That weirdo had another weirdo beside him last year. Both wearing Carroll meats jerseys. I never argued that Denis was a bad player. I have consistently claimed he was one of the best forwards of my generation, I have been watching westmeath since 1977. You must be mixing me up with somebody else. I may have argued that Dessie was a better player, an opinion myself and most westmeath fans would hold.

RJ. I always suspected you were a bluffer.
Have a look at this link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpOciOSFVEs
That chap is there with his mate, both in Carroll meat jerseys. If you pause the link at 1min 45 second as Conor Lynam is kicking a point, you can cleary see both chaps to the left of the posts as you face them, proudly wearing their Offaly jerseys. The chap I.m refering to is on the right as you look at them
Not sure why you made up the comment on the Wicklow jersey
