Naomh Columba & Naomh Mhuire on the verge of going up, Moville doomed, Milford battling away, time might just be against them, watch out for Bundoran, 5 games left to play and they have serious momentum built up after winning Intermediate.

how do you mean naomh colomba and n mhuire are on verge of going up. naomh columba are going up and the other place will be decided by a play off. a wee bit of resarch before posting your messages would be appreciated

madedward - how can you know for sure that naomh columba are definitely goin up, there 5 points ahead of nauls and 4 games left so nothing guaranteed yet

Whats wrong with griffin?? when do they expect to get him back?? Glen do have it in the bag - their run in is handy enough and have a couple games on naomh mhuire.

looks like glen will get promoted all right unless they have a total cpllapse which is very unlikely. other spot between nauls, n.brid and n.mhuire. However which of these 4 teams can make the step-up to senior football and remain in div 2? what do people think?

To be honest lads looking at the fixtures i reckon bundoran will find themselves in a promotion play off.Glen will definitely finish as champions barring a complete collapse.moville and milford to drop to div.4

Its gonna be really tight to see who gets promoted.

Naomh Columba look the best bet for the straight promotion spot as they have the points in the bag and a few games in hand. They are crafty and can slow a game down when in the lead and sometimes winning ugly is the way out of Div 3. However they have lost away to Naomh Mhuire and drew at home to Milford in their last two games so they may be getting a bad run at a bad time. Experience will see them win the league.

Naomh Mhuire are the youngest and fittest team in the division and have the best defensive record of all divisions. Likewise however they can find it hard to score at times. They have only two games left home to Urris and away to St Nauls and if they win them they are guaranteed a play off. They are best placed to take advantage of Naomh Columba slipping up. They are the form side at the moment....a good time to be so. Fitness and tight defence could prove promotion winning combination.

Naomh Brid were going really well and looked the strongest team in the div but have lost a bit of pace in recent games..losing away to Naomh Mhuire last week was a blow. They have a good side however and if David Walsh can get the attack moving...they will be in a strong position for a play off position where they would be fancied as they have a bit of experience. Recent lost points will haunt them and they wont make play-off.

St Nauls are simply not the same team without Stephen Griffen. If he is just back from a broken bone...he wont be 100% and that may affect them. St Nauls have a poor record of finals, play offs and going through the line when the going gets tough....they do however have a decent side so its hard to call. They'll miss a fully fit Griffen and soccer lads wont committ....no promotion play off.

Bundoran are coming off a great Intermediate win which will have one of two effects. Either they will be content with that for the year and wont bite the bullet in tight games...or they will use the Intermediate win and drive on and win many games in hand and get a play off place where you would then fancy them as they are big and strong and have experience. Promotion play off place.

Na Rossa. A credit to their small catchment area. They could get a play off position which is amazing for acLub side that are always written off early. Too late a run for this year however.

Glen to go straight up....Naomh Mhuire v Bundoran in play off with Naomh Mhuire to win a tight game.

Hopefully Naomh Columba can finish the job. Going well in the league, took a while to get over the championship lose. Far from an ageing team as quoted elsewhere, take the 2 Noel s away and it a young good side. If a little silverware come there way it would be good for them to build on. They need to come up straight as over the last few seasons id worry about them in another play off. Naomh Muire should take the play off from Bundoran.

Well done Atlantic Gael - you seemed to have called it fairly well. Bundoran, though are building up just as much momentum, if not more than Naomh Mhuire but Naomh Columba have it all wrapped up.

Bundoran seem to be the form team in the Division kicking on since their championship win. I see they beat Nauls at the weekend by 7 - was Griffin back for that game?? Glen one victory from automatic promotion and its lookin very much like Naomh Mhuire and Bundoran in the playoff. Naomh Mhuire have a very good side and nearly impossible to beat at home, should be a pretty good playoff but I think at a neutral venue Bundoran on form will edge it.

In the democrat it says Griffin scored all 9 of St. Nauls points so he did play and Bundoran still won comfortably from what I hear.
