Whats the story with JOL and C Healey dhorse. Does the football management offer the hurlers an opportunity to attract these players?? Had heard they were planning on both, but thats not the usual approach.

Think you're right there port couldn find it. How do ye rate yor chances this year. Carlow are training well and appeared a shade fitter than Westmeath, hard to judge if that was Carlow or Westmeath, perhaps a Westmeath man or woman could enlighten us on how training is going up there. No suprise yet in the league, wonder will there be one and where???

Training appeared to be going fine, apparently more actual hurling than last year which was loads of gym work. Its clearly not the right balance either.

All the training in the world this season can't make up for the neglect at underage level for years (fortunately I believe that the cb has rectified that problem, by copying ye!). The team is suffering because there is a real shortage of players in the 20-23 age bracket of good enough quality to break into the team, so the panel wouldn't be near as strong as previous years. Hopefully We'll be back sooner rather than later.

The Football regime Doesn't seem to be very attractive at the moment. So i'd reckon they might go to hurl, Healy more so. J.O.L has a hand injury.

Dhorse i agree, but zane hasn played any hurling in a long time. I know he's back training but i just hope he gets back to his best. He'd be some addition to the team. Especially from placed balls.

How many players are the Antrim hurler currently missing. They have a few Dunloy boys to come back in plus Karl Stewart from St. Galls, is that it?

it would be great for laois to get zane back to his best. i could definetly see cahir and JOL back with the hurlers too. especially JOL after having seen him playing very well for UCD on john lee who he dominated in the air for much of the game..

St Galls is maybe two McGourty's depending on whether CJ is footballing or not, and Stewart, and Dunloy would be Shiels and.............

I think zane has bit to go, hope he's not rushed, Tommy fitz made an appearance against Clare. not sure About Cahir Healy coming in though, it seems the approach from somebody in the hurling managment lacked a little Subtlety.

Agree with you Duffy, certainly wont be happy with 2nd place, although this sunday away to Clare is the big test. Any idea when exactly Quigley will be back?

Thats an amazing result for Kildare, have Westmeath gone that much off the boil? Kildare weren't expected to do much in this division and I though Westmeath would still have bit too much for them. Congrats to the Kildare hurlers

Today Laois were fitter, faster, more skilful, more physical and more everything than Antrim.

Passing the ball to each other over 50 yards, without being molested by anyone in a saffron jersey, they should really have won by a lot more.

Antrim hurling really has regressed in the last few years.
