Maybe thats why there are no Monaghan games being shown, an attempt by RTE and the powers that be to keep them with a squad

Quality!!

They have a point that other teams are getting away with the same because they are not on tv. However is Mickey Harte missing the point that his players still misbehaved?

They'll be confiscating mobile phones on the way in just in case anyone tries to get a few snaps of the game......

Banning the tv cameras is of couse not realistic given tv rights. More a sabre ratling exercise of compliant to say go easy.He has a point though if sanctions aren't applied equally across the board.

Why was certain dublin players not banned down through the years for elbowing players ?

the facts of it as i see it are, tyrone can feel slightly hard done by as they do seem to have got more suspensions from this trial by tv over the years than any other team, however if the players wern't breakin the rules they wouldnt get punished either.

also i agree that there is too much attention on MH these days. when was the last time you seen conor counihan on HS or the papers?

why cant tyrone just accept the fact that they sell papers and everything they do will be under the microscope just like the kerry and dublin players , there is no agenda against yous , yous are not fighting for equal rights that war is over can we not just stop the moaning and get on with what we like talking about football and hurling

This is another attempt by the GAA to prove it is Amateur in administration as well as ethos. Guilty players should be penalised no question, but not just the players on TV. Every game has incidents that can be missed by a referee. We had the farcical situation last year in soccer where Ireland did not qualify for the world cup because video evidence was not used. Although it might have seemed unfair it means that in soccer every game is referered the same whether it is junior or international football. That inconsistency provides controversy and is part of the appeal of the soccer game and the discussion of those incidents (a Dublin poster mentioned this previously and I agree). What the current GAA implementation has is not controversy but imbalance. Mayo came to Omagh and got a result. They walked away I am sure happy with that, but it will leave a sour taste now if Ronaldson gets a month suspension.

All Mickey wants is the same rule applying 2 all teams not just the 1s who are on televison i dont see a problem with this 1 rule for all.

I have no problem with Tyrone players getting banned on the back of video evidence but my problem isnt even with the games that arent televisd it is with the games that are and no action taken.

What about Galvin making a wind at the ref again???
What about O'Sullivan pushing a player into a concrete post?? Imagine the potential consequences of that???

Why are the CCCC only looking at games that involve Tyrone? WHY?????

563522 Christy Cooney comments have made it official. The GAA are anti-Tyrone!

He said that "Let's call a spade a spade, "If players misbehave the onus is on the Association to deal with that."

Now I have no problem with that statement at all. However actions speak louder than words and the problem is it only applies to Tyrone! In Round 1 of the League Paul Galvin made a go at the ref and Declan O'Sullivan pushed a player into a concret post and there wasnt a murmur from the CCCC. And lets not forget Tadgh Kenelly's intentional elbow on the ultimate stage last year
The statement Christy made very obiviously does not apply to Kerry and very much applies to Tyrone.

Why??
