Do you know it is not actually illegal to take drugs?
It is illegal to sell them and to have them in your posession but not to take them.
If it were illegal to take them, you could be arrested for simply having them in your system

Haha Doctor Shepherd, you must be mad craic altogether and a great person to go socialising with seen as youve taken so many drugs. How are you athletically though, would you win many races(if you took part in any),or would you score much if you took part in rugby or football?Or if you were got in a guillotine or arm-lock or a rear naked choke, would you get out of them easily enough? The point im trying to make is,some people get their kicks in different ways.We dont all have to drink a load,or take drugs to have fun.I take pleasure in playing sports to the best of my ability, and i dont abuse my own body like you have done.

Yes I am in quite good shape. Have a challenge match tomorrow and will play soccer on Sunday morning. I put on a bit of weight over the xmas but I should be back to my normal weight within the next few weeks. I train twice a week for GAA and once for soccer. I do 100 sit-ups and push-ups most days. I am taking part in a white-collar boxing bout at the end of April and expect to be fighting fit in time for it.
In case you didn't read my posts I done all that stuff years ago and am none the worse for it now. It was an experience and it all took place in the privacy of either my own house or else one of my friends house.

What a pathetic post. Some of the world's top athletes have admitted taking or been caught taking recreational drugs, and a large percentage of them binge drink (premiership footballers, for example). What kind of sad argument are you trying to make here, that someone can't be good at sports if they take recreational drugs/drink/smoke?
Anyway, I suspect the health risks are a lot worse from UFC than they are from marijuana, for example. Repeated blows to the head isn't good for you - this is also, to use your own term, "abusing your body".

Looks like you jumped the gun there Doc, I've often done it before myself, thinking a post hasn't made it and it appears!
Don't know why my last line sentence from my last post was deleted though, I merely made an observation about Lyoto Machida's drinking habits. Let's just say that it's not orange juice he has with his breakfast...

Me too Brolly. I lost respect for posters that take the moral high ground and think little of people because of things that they do/have done or life choices they have taken. I am glad I am a liberal because it must be hard work looking down on everyone who does something which you don't agree with. There are posters here who are critisising us for experimenting with substances which they themselves know little or nothing about. If you know nothing about them then I don't see how you can comment.

The POLICE want to legalise drugs. The British medical association want to legalise drugs. Dear God, the House of Lords want to legalise drugs.
But not Hogan Stand posters?

559645 Surprised no one has mentioned how less damaging some drugs would be if legalized, for one pure weed and grass could be sold rather than cannabis resin which a lot of young people are smoking which is processed using diesel and other chemicals.
I did.
They didn't publish it.

Why would you want to legalise something which causes so much grief, misery and poverty among vulnerable people???? Drugs are evil. They corrupt good people by forcing them into a life of crime to feed their habit. Theft, murder and gun crime is on the increase because of drugs. And yet there are some coming on here saying we should legalise them and make them freely available to the youth of today. Have we lost our minds people? Like I know some can handle their habit quite well and are respectable in public and all that, but why run the risk of destroying other lives by allowing these head shops to stay open?

I also said a lot more.
For 50 years scientists employed/hired/paid by tobacco companies told us that cigarettes were harmless.
They were not.
So why do people believe the same scientists employed/hired/paid by the large drug companies when they talk nonsense about cannabis?
Those large companies, who I suspect the moderators work for as this is now my third attempt, sell mogadon and valium and other addictive, harmful drugs. They make huge profits from doing so. Those profits give them loads of political sway and they prevent governments from legalising cannabis.
If cannabis was legalised, the sale of dangerous drugs like valium would plummet.
Now, when I say cannabis is harmless, put it in perspective. Ice cream is harmless, but if you overdose........
Now I really am an alcoholic, well aware that alcohol has destroyed many homes in Ireland, and all that. The curse of the Irish. And yet many a drinker as he fell off his stool has condemned me for smoking blow? I haven't fallen off any stools.
The most offered defence in law courts in Ireland and elsewhere is "my client had DRINK taken", yet we are sold the myth that drugs leads to violence.
As I said eaqrlier, such left wing groups as the Police, House of Lords and British medical association want to legalise drugs.
The best reason to do so is that all the profit from the illegal trade, subsidising alleged terrorist groups and hardened criminals, would disappear.
The other main reason is that a horrible drug like heroin would be better off being controlled, as people are taking it anyway.
And for those worried about the dreaded drugs and young people taking them.
When they reclassified cannabis in GB and made it semi legal kids stopped taking it. Where was the thrill in taking legal stuff?
reverse psychology is a powerful thing.

patrique show us a link to where the BMA wants to legalise drugs?? they wanted smoking and drinking banned last i knew F.T.Q i was making a generalisation based on the fact smoking isnt addictive after one try like crck can be and smokers dont suffer the withdrawel symptoms associated with heroin abuse amongst other drugs. smoking is also less likey to destroy your life than addiction to other drugs
