I know i would rather pay 13 to 35 in to a game and have few bears after instead of drinking all my money in a pub or nite club . I think the gaa are fair when it comes to charging in at games . And if the GPA get there way the prices will be hiked and then it will be destroyed but the prices now am happy with.

I'm not sure I'd agree with the animal thing you have got going there Dell. I am aware of what you think in relation to this topic but you do not tell me why you think this. In a time where unemployment has skied, the average person on the Dole gets £60 give or take per week. Are they expected to spend almost 25% of their income to watch a game of football? GAA is about all of the community and should not be a matter of who can afford to go to games. The attendances have dropped already and I was disappointed with the crowd at the game on Saturday night. It is alright for me and you to come on here, both employed and say £13 is not much, but to some people it is and is a price not worth paying in the bigger scheme of things. The GAA should be setting example and to me they have failed miserably yet again in showing leadership as the biggest sporting organisation on this island

Croke Park need around 30,000 in to break even, so they must have plenty of out goings of their own.
My original claim that £13 was value for money was based on living in Omagh, going to Healy Park to watch Tyrone, with no travelling.
For myself and the family to go to Newry to watch Down, your chatting about £60, so you wouldn't be going over for every game, cos it is expensive.
I still think the GAA is good value. Gaa facilities are among the best in the country, paid for by people like yourself.
I'm starting to sound like Jarleth Burns.

How often is Croke Park opened when there is not at least 30000 there. Every time the Dubs play they fill it. Every tiome rugby or soccer is played they make approx £1 million. I understand that your original point was based on living in Omagh etc. The point is that quite a substantial number of Tyrone supporters are not based in Omagh or close to Omagh. The fact that people can't go to every game is in my opinion proof that it is not VFM. I'm not so bad, I have a season ticket and that is good value. For 7 league games and a championship game it was e75, roughly £65, which equates to approx £8 per game. This is VFM and allows me through sharing the driving(although we have it handy this year) to attend all games. The extra £5 I am saving pays for a bite to eat and therefore my night out costs under £15. Thankfully I am still employed and £15 may not seem that much but I have family members trying to live on £60 per week on benefit and they cannot afford to attend games. This is not what the GAA is supposed to be about

Every time the schools and clubs play, not forgeting the ladies. Can't see them getting close to that this weekend. Anyway, it seem alot of revenue for running costs.
Unlike yourself i'm not working so I see more of Tyrone in Healy Park than Down in Newry. Got to three McKenna Cup games but that might be it for a while.
I still think we are cheaper than other sports, no matter about them being professional. At the end of the day ,we pay less at the turnstile than them. Our money goes to projects like Garvaghy, theirs goes into the players pockets.
We wont agree on this issue, so I rest my case.
