Croke Park is the place to be this weekend.

patrique Re your rant re the National Anthem. The National Anthem is only played when Ireland play in Dublin. This is in respect of the location of the game rather then the origin of the team. When they play at away grounds they just play "The Silly Song".

whats the big deal with the national anthem...why so much allegiance to a song for a state that really doesnt care very much about you.if you feel uniquely irish express it your own way, let each to their own.i dont understand all this nonsense over a song.

Having counted to ten, and taken a deep, yoga inspired breath, I know that.

But we are talking about Croke Park here, which is in...............Dublin.

Anthems should ONLY be played on state occasions, in my opinion.

that may be true seany but they should play the national anthem all the same as they are meant to be representing our country.

A previous poster stated that in their opinion rugby was more of a fashion than a sport. I couldn't agee more. It seems to me that rugby is now supported by both genuine rugby supporters and a sizeable contingent of 'Johnny come lately' upwardly mobile types who use the game to show off their newly acquired wealth and bourgois broadmindedness. For all of that, these latter contingent will probably learn to like the game and their patronage will become less fashionable and more genuine. The GAA also needs to attract new 'Johnny come Lately' fans. They will help to grow the organisation.

Now, why can't we become fashionable?

Good piont culcie but do we have to turn the GAA into a fashion i mean we could do without a lot of that crowd.

Have to disagree dhorse, two all-ireland club finals on Saturday night in Croke so it is the place to be this weekend.
