by all accounts Roscommon defence will be inexperienced but the forwards are looking like there could have plenty of experience, talk of Rogers, Cregg, Dunning, Mannion and Heneghan all starting in the forwards. The start will be important, if London can keep it tight early on I can see Roscommon getting nervous. Also in midfleid Roscommon are not very strong and if struggling can see Mannion being brough out the field. Rosineri1 (UK) - Posts: 2099 - 27/05/2010 12:25:00 659770 Link 0 |

Lads lets just be honest if Geraghty thinks London ae going to win a few games in the qualifiers he is gone mad.......i have never seen a more poor London side in all my time......we must all be mad because we believed they had a chance......there are to many players not good enough.........but some of the players with big reputations were simply awful.....they cheap way we gave away the ball and the crazy way when with the wind we didnt kick the ball into our forwards...was awful. Have to agree with you Irish Rover. Unless London get Carlow or Longford in the qualifiers, they have no chance of making any progress. Even if they got Carlow or Longford, it would be remote that they would win. Tongo (UK) - Posts: 1795 - 04/06/2010 16:05:35 667740 Link 0 |
I havent been on here for a while, im over and back from home with work, looks like i might be moving back, but its more depressing there than here! i was in a pub last night in carlow, what would be regarded as a busy pub here, two people in it at 9.30! brutal! wasnt at the roscommon game unfortunately, but from the messages and reports ive heard it seems london flopped badly, very disappointing! spoke to one of our lads on the panel, he couldnt explain it, he seems to think they could have won it, a bit bizarre considering they lost by 8 points!! when is the qualifier draw cos the players dont seem to know?! i think it might be sunday week, anyone know? berealistic (Laois) - Posts: 36 - 08/06/2010 13:13:28 670718 Link 0 |

Lads lets be fair who should be in and who should be out of the team that started against Ross for the match against Wexford???? Opinions??? IrishRover (Fermanagh) - Posts: 488 - 14/06/2010 11:59:50 676480 Link 0 |
Whats the story with conor maunsell not getting any chance, he's playing great football for his club and he's still only 24. He could be used as a target man like kieran donaghy as he's about 6ft2" and he's well built. Anyone agree with me? conmaun (Kerry) - Posts: 2 - 26/06/2010 14:27:43 687624 Link 0 |
The whole squad should be disbanded forever, what a waste of money, time and energy.......Forget it,how could anyone come on here and defend them.beat out of sight by 25 points... stranded (UK) - Posts: 408 - 27/06/2010 19:30:14 688563 Link 0 |
i take it all the lads that didnt play in the championship will get drafted in to the junior team now. i heard a rumor that last year or the year befor a number of lads got dropped for the final etc because of the players that didnt play in the senior championship got drafted in. This did happen last year, and players that didnt even play with the Senior London team were drafted in from various clubs thinking they would get an AI medal out of it, very bad form on part of the Manager and no wonder they lost to Roscommon as that was probably the first game they played together as a team. If it is the same manager this year he will probably do the same! LondonSupporter (UK) - Posts: 119 - 28/06/2010 15:20:45 689691 Link 0 |
I like the current attitude of: London are rubbish so we may as well give up. A fine and commendable attitude. London's task maybe Sisyphean, but they should not disband. Maybe people have lost sight of what the GAA is supposed to be in the modern day win at all costs ethos and attitude. Tongo (UK) - Posts: 1795 - 30/06/2010 08:08:54 691594 Link 0 |
Tongo it is the participate at all costs attitude that people are fed up with, london county football is huge drain of resources I think would be better invested in under age development, games promotion and giving the hurlers a fair share of resources and support. The wexford footballers budget was capped at €80k this year I have heard there is the best part £100k spent on our county footballers, Wexford football is limited to small pockets in the very north and south of the county were as london draw footballers from all over Ireland's football strongholds. Wexford beat london by 25points at a canter. Something isn't adding up and hasn't done for a while it is time to give up on the impossible equation of how how to get London competitive never mind winning a match. dual_coder (Galway) - Posts: 38 - 30/06/2010 13:27:09 691915 Link 0 |
