If there was a roll attendance even kept at London training you would be shocked at how it would read, and even more shocking is the amount of top players in the squad have missed league games. How players prepare for the season ahead and take care of themselves in the off season is also questionable.
This may be London Uk but this is still senior inter county football and for London to constantly go with what ever way the tide decides to take them is not good enough in my opinion as a London supporter..
The opportunity was there for the taking this year to do something special.. the whole campaign so far is a major disappointment and that dose make me bitter
and I have problem admitting that.. To have arrived at this stage of the season where we are supposed to be happy with a loss to a very poor Carlow team, considering what London could have done in the League up untill now is a disgrace!
If all these players have been around playing club football in London and attending London training and players that have progressed from the London junior team,
How does it take three selectors not to be able to see what we all could have told them that many of these players are just not good enough..
We need a manager to come along and get 24 players that play together week in week out through the league plus the rare few that come over from Ireland that have the quality and desire to play for London but not just allow them to waltz in to the starting team. Its just an Idea!

Exactly this berealistic

Any updates from Training last night from the insiders? Any challenges planned before Roscommon game?

Well irishrover you'll be glad to know that one of your favourite individuals, Philip Morgan, is flying fit at the moment and pushing for a place. I hear he was putting points over for fun against TCG on Saturday which will no doubt help his cause for a starting place. Your other favourite individual, Chris Donellan is rumoured to be considering a return back to the London Fold so he'll no doubt be pushing for a place on his return.
I believe London have two challenges coming up in the next few weeks so I'm sure we will no more of the starting 15 for Championship from them games.

John Mills as much as you think you know, I thought you would have known that Donnellan has been back training with the London team for weeks! Glad to hear Morgan is popping over points for fun, lets hope he can do the same with London as there arent many of the forwards to date who can do that.

Haha....John Mills your some man...but i wont get into anything of the point with you.....but your digging.....great to hear Morgan is as you put it flying fit (which should be a prerequisite for any London player)....a Kiernans man i was talking to no more than 20mins ago told me he scored one point against TCG so either he was lying or your mistaken John.....no offence but id say you were mistaken.....not that it matters much....When i said any news on the squad in terms of injuries etc.....i actaully ment or I should have said Paul Geraghty....how is he????? Thats what i wanted to know.....Also glad to hear Donnellan is out training hard as i have never ever questioned his talent or ability just his fitness......and before you reply with these lads are flying.....i believe they shouldnt be getting credit for being fit.....thats a requirement lad.

P.S......John are you playing for London???? you seem to know alot about it or at least think you know about it from inside the squad....like your constant goading of me concerning my original inquiring of Morgans place on the Squad and responsive comments concerning the same issue as it developed...and also the inclusion of Donnellan when in my opinion not at all fit (as i have said...a County Player should be fit...and i have never questioned Donnellans ability).....everyone else offers opinions and you seem to be defending individual players like their legal representative or Public Relations officer....its just opnions lads have theirs and you have yours and we can trade opinions...is that not what its all about??

There was a three day cessation to the bickering and we're off again! Juzzy, I think you're enquiry will be lost amongst the arguments, I would post a separate thread on the London forum to get some attention / info.

Juzzy.

Your closest team is probably "Round Towers" based in Mitcham, See http://www.roundtowers.ukonline.co.uk/page13.html

Depending on where in Wimbledon you live, Fulham Irish or even St.Brendan's are other options.

See http://www.fulhamirish.org/location.asp

or

http://www.stbrendanslondon.com/training.htm

I'm involved with St.Brendan's and know that we have a player based in Wimbledon so there could be a chance of a lift.

Anyway, hope this helps.

Irishrover you do like to waffle on a bit don't you.

I was merely answering you query and provided you with information on your two favourite individuals within the London squad. I thought you'd be grateful for this considering the great interest you have taken in these individuals this season. And just on that I am rarely ever mistaken or incorrect lad so before you make yourself look any more silly then I would go and double check with that source of yours or try and find another more accurate source and you'll find out that Morgan scored more than one point on Saturday.

And why would you write a post enquiring how the London squad is shaping up when all you wanted to know is the fitness status of Paul Geraghty-would it have not been easier to ask how Geraghty was doing outright? You need to get that loaf on your shoulders examined lad before posting future posts

juzzy...round towers would be your closest. Training is on tues and thurs nites. There is pick ups from morden station so you can just get the 93 down there or you can get the tram to mitcham. Can ring Charlie for more info on 07958523085 or email [email protected]

did i just read right? donnelan back training? sounds like he should be trainer and selector while he is at it.For a man who played hurling last year and not club football i don't think he should come and go as he pleases, this just highlights all that is wrong with london football.

Regardless of how good the player is and i know he is a good player this is wrong.

Jealousy gets you nowhere! Donnellan played some club huring with the Gabriels last year, what difference does it make if he didnt play Club football. He is an asset to the County team, if I had as much skill in my small toe as Donnellan has I'd be happy, if he is fighting fit for day against Roscommon he will be a major threat.

"Irishrover you do like to waffle on a bit don't you"

Some statement from a man who likes a fair bit of waffle himself there Johnny boy.....Pot calling the Kettle black anyone...............

Your a sad act John.......and you are fairly predictable yourself, you will always respond with a immature dig at my original inquiry about those two individuals........who you have ingenuisly called my favourite individuals.....boy you are witty John....haha....

and a real cracker of a comment from you John............."And just on that I am rarely ever mistaken or incorrect lad so before you make yourself look any more silly then I would go and double check with that source of yours or try and find another more accurate source and you'll find out that Morgan scored more than one point on Saturday"..............................Well well what a great and genuis man you are John.............in all fairness i couldnt care less how many points that particular player scored in a League game....even though my source played with him.....but John "you are rarely ever mistaken or incorrect" so your genuis word is gospel..........so maybe he should now definitely start for London and will no doubt be the star of the Championship after doing well against the TCG's......well maybe...but its up to you........also when said hows the squad shaping up with injuries etc........i taught that somebody reading the word Injury would think Paul Geraghty....and thats still the case any news???? is he going to be fit???

And John Mills anytime you want to examine your own loaf on your shoulders that wouldnt be a bad idea at all laaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddddddddddd as you put it.

At the end of the day the buck stops with the management.. for me it sounds like they have every excuse in the book all ready to use if they fail against Ross.
every excuse except own up the facts and the truth that they are not at this level. How can you include Donnellan at this stage we all no how good he was but all he is ..is a name now that dose't really strike the fear it used to.. but more worryingly again what does this say to players that have giving there all since jan. I can't blame Chris D if the manager has roped him back in once more.. but this managment seems to think they have no one to answer to. but they do and that is us the supporters.. maybe the county board did find it too hard to replace them this year.. but any real London supporter could not be happy if they really new the truth ... like a pollitition has bluffed his way through the last few years..they all eventually get found out in the end.

There has been so many baffeling disissions this year nothing would supprise me.. If London loose to Ross I call for the management to hold there hands up, to appoligise and to step down!

and before u no who says it I am disgrunteld and bitter but only as a supporter on how the team has been managed this year!

I think Dunning is doing a fair old job to be honest, not many in this town would want this job and the County Board does not support him at all.
As for Donnellan I would rather have him with me than against me, he has guts and determination, the same cannot be said for some of the other individuals masquerading as forwards on the same team!
