a 5 point defeat to tipperary and 8 to waterford is slightly worrying. if these minors are as good as storey claims they are, results would want to be picking up soon.

There is alot of negativity on this about these young hurlers. i Think a bit of incouragement rather than all this critisisim would be more benificial. Its just typical of wexford gaa so called supporters to be complaining about our future hurlers these young men are training very hard and putting in a savage effort but alot of people on this thread want to knock them. As George O Connor always says a spoonful of encouragement is better than a barrell full of critisisim

2.15 to 3.17 is not a 10 point defeat!!!!

I hope these lads do well but the approach to them is all wrong.... I heard that the 16s selectors have now told lads they can`t play football and one of them has walked away from gaa altogether!!

and that my friends is why we will win nothing at underage managers on a power trip telling players what they can and cannot play any manager who is like that should resign
the more dual gaa players the better they will have no time for soccer or rugby then
the gaa's problem is a gaa one in the county not soccer or rugby
we force threaten and push our players especially the hurling people

Yes our U16s played your U16s in Bagnealstown and our lads won 3-10 to 1-06. Ye are on about not playing rugby yet George O'Connor is encouraging development squad players to play rugby.

Yes thats true George is a big advocat of Rugby and is not shy about promoting the game.

Its also interesting to see many st Martins young players in Wexford Wanders.

On the reverse side they also appear to have some rugby people involved with their underage.

Personally I Believe that Gaelic football is a more appropriate alternative second game for hurling.

Same pitch smae positions . it promotes team play and is a good way of getting and staying fit
