slightly disapointing to lose to waterford by 8 points, especially as we played them only a few weeks previous and lost by 5. however most of them hsve been doing an awful lot of hurling with their clubs etc so i wouldnt read too much into it. im confident that come offaly in the first round of the leinster championship, this group of playerds will be victories. for the majority of these players its their 1st year playing minor so they've alot to learn.

i'd prefer to meet kk earlier.before they get a rythem and we cud actually beat them.our minors have been very good since after the carlow defeat in 06..or 07 don't really remember.but the 08 team beat kk in the group and didn't do themselves justice in croke park.the kk lads aren't phased by croke park but in think our lads are.the score that day seriouslt flattered kk and they hurled much better against galway in the qualifier and i feel they were very unluck not to win that day.galway were probably a slightly better team than kk that year too

our minor teams have been very good the last few years and i argee with doylerwex that our lads havent done themselves justice in croke park againts kk but its very positive to see that weve produced 3 or 4 competetive minor teams on the bounce and having beaten dublin 3 years on the spin in this age group, im confident and optismistic that we can develop 7 or 8 players that will go on to represent us at senior level. our under 21s this year should be very good, i expect big things from both minor and under 21 this year, if we can make a breakthrough in either of these it would give wexford hurling an enormous boast!
