Kerry show massive respect for NFL

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Great to see that 3 of the Kerry team are willing to miss the Dublin game to support their fellow sportsmen in the final of the NFL(Superbowl).
Well Done Lads.
And with it being held in Miami lets just hope the Gooch remembers to bring some factor 60 suncream and a big hat.

The mere presence of Kerry in a competition means that it gets a respect and dignity not accorded other competitions (Liam McCarthy Cup for example).

=> merely by taking part, Kerry are respecting the league and giving it their unbiased backing - basically giving it an almost beatific status.

Besides, how can the defending champions be accused of disrespecting a competition they bothered winning on at least 4 occasions this decade?
In the same period, Dublin have been relegated twice, probably by fielding weakened teams although who knows.....

Good luck to them, if I remember the Gooch stayed behind to watch the superbowl in Arizona last year or the year before , I say most players have there eye on the prize in September and not to worried about whats on offer in April.

Their dead right to stay in America watching the REAL NFL. The Irish version is a mickey mouse competition that nobody cares about winning anyway.
